The flight from BWI to IAH was OK. I zonked out for most of it, and, thankfully, the two people to my right - I was on the aisle - did not need to get up during the flight. Alas, those two people talked the whole time. It was a grandmother and her teenage grandson, so the "forced" eavesdropping wasn't too bad, but... He sure did like to talk a lot. Especially about every article in the in-flight magazine. ::)

Once I got to IAH, I realized I had a three-hour instead of a two-hour layover. So I did some terminal hopping to grab some food - BBQ and Do-Nuts - and now I'm waiting at my gate for boardng to begin in about 45 minutes.

In the meantime, I'm taking up residence in the Airspace Lounge here at BWI. It's basically a pay-for-a-day Admirals Club set up. It's not too bad. Free Wi-Fi, unlimited coffe and soft drinks, snacks, and one meal or alchoholic beverage are included in the one-time fee of $17.50. Kind of a bargain.

You can eat or have an alcoholic drink, not do both? ;D

One or the other was included in the price of the day-pass. I could have paid an additional $4.00 if I wanted a glass of wine, but since it was before Noon... ;)

Hello from NY and my hotel.  The flight was fast and comfortable.  I was a little further back than I like, but still in an extra leg room seat (all the front seats were taken - that is very unusual - I have a second row seat coming home).  I thought traffic was going to be horrendous, but it wasn't bad at all.  Had a very nice cabbie.  The hotel, which is new to me and I found on Quikbook with really good rates, looked a little funky when I came in (it's on 46th on the East Side, but just off Fifth) - no check-in desk - totally weird.  There's a little office and I gave them my name - they already had my key and I was taken to my second floor room.  Once their all funk disappeared.  The room is really nice, everything is new, there's room to actually move around and there's even a little patio with a table and chair.

bk - Welcome back to NYC! I'm sorry I won't be abe to meet up with you this time. Be sure to give my best to Brad and Diego when you see them.

And may they continue till you are where you need to be!

I think I napped about 15 minutes. My body is still dragging around very slowly. Hopefully I will sleep well tonight.

Jose, I don't know where my seat is but it's a house seat so I presume it will be fine.

You know what the coolest thing about the hotel is - they have umbrellas in the closet in case of rain.  I've never seen that before.  You know what the not coolest thing about the hotel is - terrible cell reception.

DR Jeanne, Kinko's was a possibility but there isn't one close by.  My friend Suzy, who's a graphic designer and a Mac person, recommended a local printer.  So, I've been over there and will have my invitations Monday - on higher quality paper and at about half the cost of Staples.

Nice you got a better deal all around.

TOD:

I'm watching season 3 of WISH ME LUCK. I'm a huge fan of season 1, which I think is brilliant. Unfortunately, season 2 and 3 have both a different composer and a very different look to the production. Not up to the quality of season 1, IMO, but still entertaining.

I just added to our NetFlix queue.

Good! Glad you found a suitable alternative. Interesting that it's cheaper, too.

And I'm glad to be supporting a local small business...

Supporting local small business is good. :)

No matter the time I fly I never drink.  It dehydrates you, plus it make motion sickness worse.  I don't know how anyone could have 8 drinks before flying, especially an 18 year old.  I get how an 18 year old wouldn't understand not to drink, just how he was served unless the originating state had a lower age limit for alcoholic beverages.

When Craig missed his flight from L.A. I hope I said how & not why ;D  If I said why I meant the same thing as how & maybe your mother did as well. :)

I'm surprised you have never seen that.  If umbrella's aren't in the room most nice hotels have one if you ask.

Ginny, our previous pastor used a Mac thing called Pagemaker or something like that. I couldn't open ANY of his stuff. None of us could. Very frustrating.
