Oh...
I'm currently posting from Terminal 1 of San Diego International Airport.
After dinner, we made a quick stop back at the condo so that I could pack up my stuff. My brother, Mike, also packed up some stuff since he'll be staying overnight with a friend and classmate from the Coast Guard Academy who lives close to the airport. He and his kids will be going for a sail tomorrow on the Bay. -Oh, and my brother, Don, did end up driving up to L.A. earlier with Alexandra and Alyssa for a day and night of sight-seeing. *It's been nice seeing that my brother, Don, is actually taking advantage of his vacation time since he really does tend to keep very long hours at his job. In any case...
After all the bags were packed up, we dropped by my brother Jay's new house just to check in on the newlyweds before they leave for their honeymoon in the morning. They'll be going to Hawaii for eight days! While we were there, my Mom decided to have a small birthday party for me - cake, candle and pictures. Of course, the cake was the leftover wedding cake from yesterday.

Then we dropped my parents back off at the condo, and my brother, Mike, drove me down to the airport. Thankfully, this trip to the airport was much different than my previous one. No traffic. No mix-up with my reservation. No delays at the security checkpoint. -And since I realized/remembered that my parents had paid for these tickets, I went ahead and treated myself to a legroom upgrade (and paid for it myself).
Boarding begins in 45 minutes.
