Good morning, all! Today we need the vibes because this day's two recording sessions will determine how we stand for the next two days: wew have too much music to record in too little time and today will determine our statuis for finishing up this week. I've been kicking and screaming for too long, but our financial man - to whom I would never offer financial, legal, or business advice since I know next to nothing - has no problems in making decisions about recording budgets and schedules without input from people who've worked in the territory for years. Both the record producer and I are concerned, but Judy says if all runs smoothly today, we're fine. Keep them vibes coming!

Continued recording vibes for elmore and company!

I've been up since nine.  Called paypal to do what needed to be done and I have to say once again that they have been great about this.  The money will be back in my account in two days - they sent me something to answer via e-mail which I already did.  I did end up calling Walmart last night and the Aurora police department.  They don't care.  They could catch these people and they don't care.  It's that simple.  If they started caring and arrests were made, maybe that would curb some of this, but apparently they don't want to.  There's a lawsuit waiting to happen.  The Aurora police said I had to file identity theft in my own city - I said that made no sense since the crime happened in their city and that there was video and all they had to do was go look.  The guy said that was the way the law was and there was nothing to be done about it.  So, these mo-fos get away with it because - NO ONE CARES.

We had tax-free weekend on clothing purchases. Found a pair of jeans at Costco and some really nice shirts, so I can look good for all my online classes.

Old Navy has a sale on its Men's Jeans thru Wednesday - $15.00 a pair.  As much as I hate the Mall here, I am tempted to go buy a few pair.

MR BK - even though I traced my perps to Texas and Florida, I also had to make a local police report - which I did.....and gave them the phone numbers and addresses I had found in my own investigation.

And it is also true that the CC companies cannot do anything until the transactions have been authorized.....if they are just posted to your account, I guess no crime has happened yet.

I don't know how purists will feel about someone having done this with a classic,  but this CLOSE-UP version of The Trolley Song is really interesting to me for some reason

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0odXnKhKBxQ

and there's this interesting side-by-side of the real film vs. the Judy davis recreation in the TV bio

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH_iNTyp2jw&feature=related

Did they really make Judy's wig that red in the bio pic?  Or is it just my monitor?  I never saw ME AND MY SHADOWS.

It was a blonde/red on the DVD DR TCB.....not quite a match for the actual film.

But they did a good job matching a lot of the MAJOR details of the shot.

What exactly is that close-up video?  Did they blow up the original to highlight Judy?  I have my micro-mini laptop and can't see well enough.

This is my last day home from work from this MRSA stuff.  I go back tomorrow, even though the Clinic doesn't actually clear me until tomorrow.  This is the first day that I have been home that I don't have to go anywhere or do anything, other than to start on my sulpha drugs.

I do, thank you, Laura; but I guess I will feel a lot better tomorrow if the doctor tells me that they can save my leg.  She has been pretty iffy about it up to now.

JMK - This is what the person who uploaded the "close-up video" wrote.

"  Uploaded by MicheleBell1 on Dec 20, 2009
Performed by Judy Garland and Chorus in the film 'Meet Me in St. Louis', 1944. A High Quality, Full Screen Close Up.This video was a pleasure to make. ...'The Trolley Song' is such a well known song of Judy's - from MMISL & concert tours - that I didn't expect to find anything new or fresh about it. But I did! As a close up, I can see the intricacies of Judy's face, her eyes ... & of all the close up videos I've done, this was the most surprising gift. I hadn't seen the movement & facial expressions of Judy as clearly. She's glowing ... Some interesting facts:
Ralph Blaine wrote the lyrics. He was told to write a song about trolleys for the movie, and was having a hard time coming up with inspiration. He finally came up with some lyrics when he went to the library and found a children's book with a picture of a St. Louis trolley car with the caption: "Clang, clang, clang went the jolly little trolley."  "

Well, the powertrain control module on my car did, indeed, have to be replaced and reprogrammed.  It took the predicted 90 minutes.  And I got a free car wash!

So, last Thursday when we did our drive-around in Cincinnati looking at apartment complexes, Rob misplaced his keys.  He was pretty sure he had them when we left and was afraid he'd set them on the top of the car before we pulled away.  We'd looked in the street up to about half a mile away to no avail and we'd searched the car as thoroughly as we could.  Richard took it to our service place today and they removed the back seat and  - VOILA! - there were Rob's keys!  We are all greatly relieved.

Oh my goodness, TCB!  I came on here because news had reached my ears that you were in the midst of some challenging times.  I had no idea how challenging they had become!  I know we have been remiss in getting together, but I am now off work for three weeks and would love the chance to do anything I can to help.  Toby and I are at your disposal, please call if you need to!

Much love and good vibes!
