THE NAME OF THE GAME
« on: September 03, 2011, 12:27:05 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had names and even had some games, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently playing a game that has no name.

Re: Spreading the word.

I am sure that everyone who is appearing in the series must be on Facebook. They can talk about it.  Also create the series own page.
There is aslo twitter.
You may also want to try linkedin.
Put together a "trailer" or "promo" reel and put it on Youtube. Put as much in the keywords that someone doing a search this might come up. The names of all the actors, webseries, music, comedy etc etc

I agree that FACEBOOK is a good place to start - there might even be a PAGE created for the web series that we can all then LIKE and that will give the info to everyone on our list.

And I think Broadway.com had a little blurb about FIVE MINUTE CALL or whatever that was that was a webcam set up in one of the dressing rooms backstage at SOUTH PACIFIC and was very funny....

I should have some photos of the Sultan next week - I can't take pictures of myself.....so we shall see.

We don't have lights yet!  But they are promised - along with sound cues - for Monday.  Again....we shall see.

Saturday morning greetings!  Well, the big weekend is upon us and, believe it or not, I'm having coffee and chatting with Rob.  He's slightly hungover from spending yesterday evening with his best man and groomsmen, but could be way worse.  Better today than tomorrow.

Thank you for all the good wishes from last night - whe-e-e-e!

Well, I am about to venture out among the vultures who will undoubtedly appear on our final Saturday at Borders; Wednesday is our final day of business.

Good morning to you all.

Good morning, all! I slept very well and very long. I was in bed at 9:30 last night, so I got about 9.5 hours of sleep.

DR vixmom, good for you! What a kind gesture you made, but it proves to me that you always had the power.

DR Jose, you're bound to see sme pages of orchestra parts in my handwriting in that carton.

DR TCB, just as I was wondering if Brent were in Buffalo, you posted your qestion. LOL!

Rody, a trip to the post office and lunch with a friend. That's my news.

Get the word out about the show by sending an announcement/press release with a short preview that could be reposted to the the legit coverage sources in New York and elsewhere. That would include New York Times arts blog, BroadwayStars.com (which uses clips), Playbill.com, theatermania.com, Peter Filichia in New York, plus Washington Post, Boston places, Toronto, Chicago and L.A. Even Michael Riedel.

Checking out the people whose articles are gathered and reposted at BroadwayStars.com would be a good place to start.

Given the fact that you've got stars will make many of them want to pick it up. But not just the announcement but also an update before there's a new episode. I seem to recall when the [title of show] people did a web series for awhile, they got fairly regular mentions whenever there was a new episode.

OK, think I'll head to a garage sale...maybe to the office, maybe not. I have to go at some point this weekend.  I have to figure out what I'm taking to a pot luck tonight.  It's across the street from our annual art festival - Art Splash, so I'll wander over there at some point.
