About 32 miles south of us in Yreka California is a wildfire of about 120 acres.  I'm surprised the smoke here isn't worse.

Wait, I now know why the smoke was worse a couple of days ago, my news regarding the fire is 4 days old.  ::)

Looks like the book deal is happening. So, I have to write a book this all, take two grad classes, work full time, maintain the website to keep the advertisers happy and sleep. Going to be a busy fall.

It sure looks like it.

Excuse me, JohnG, but you forgot posting here!

And congratulations.

Good Evening!

By the time I finally made my way into DC proper, all the exits and tunnels that were closed due to flooding were reopened. Of course, since I forgot that Independence Avenue becomes a one-way street during the afternoon rush hour, I ended up taking a nice "detour" through NW DC to get to SW DC.

And then there are those horrible fires in Texas. Are they anywhere near you, DR Druxy?

DR TCB, did you have your CAT scan? How do you feel?

No check today from the Man from Philadelphia but I did get a nice JUBILEE royalty check from Tams-Witmark.

Is that from the Ohio production?

ASK BK

I was listening to The Stephen Schwartz album and was wondering is there a "formula" to what order the songs are placed on the cd? (I guess this also goes for all the other concepts albums and the vocal albums)

Yep! It almost makes up for the pathetic job they did to my work.

While hiking this morning on Mt. Ashland a friend mentioned her son in Austin Skyped to let her know the fires were about 20 miles away.

Ron's getting lots of press and it makes me happy. He was too idle after THE GUIDING LIGHT folded.

We have a couple of fires, in different directions, about that distance from us.  It could be more, I'm not exactly sure where they are.

Better (well, brighter) picture of my dance with Rob, with our fabulous photographer Cari in the background.  You can also see that I'd changed into my flat shoes by this time - the high heels were killing me!

Another great photo, Ginny.

Thank you, DR TCB!

A Very Happy Rob's Birthday Dinner for Ginny and Richard.

We celebrated Rob's birthday with a late lunch at Panera - we're both too tired to dress up and go out for anything elaborate.
