No check today from the Man from Philadelphia but I did get a nice JUBILEE royalty check from Tams-Witmark.

Very good news, Elmore!

As DR Jose reported, there was a lot of rain in the DC area today.  I managed to go out for lunch and not get too wet.  And I thought I saw the sun for a moment or two later in the afternoon.  But the rain is back, with tornado warnings for some counties in Maryland.

We are having fire warnings.  It is very dry here & there might be lightening storms.

Western Washington has a rare Red Flag Fire Warning. (I didn't know it was rare, but the TV news said that it was)

They keep teasing us with the possibility of rain, but it doesn't happen.

I'm suspecting there's a high terrorist threat, possibly 9/11 alarms, in NYC at the moment: lots of subway alerts about untended bags and an interview on tv this morning about Al Quaeda and twrrorsit activities.

So, no word on nonregional Blu-ray players?

The last rain we had was August 3. That's over a month. During monsoon. Crazy.

I think it is sweet you celebrate even when Rob isn't with you.

Well, she did do all the work 26 years ago.

I've known people who send flowers to their mothers on their (the kids') birthdays.

Since I don't even have a nonregion regular DVD player (we do have a DVD player, it's just not region free), I don't know if this is any good. It's posted on Amazon

Here is a link to Bombay Electronics. Perhaps Mikey can help you with this one.

Here's a place called World Import

Popular Electronics

Ghandi Appliances, again ask Mikey

Here is a Buyers Guide

Here is a forum with questions and answers about region free Blu Ray DVD players

http://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-players-recorders/105171-region-free-br-players-advice-needed.html

Don't know if this will help but it's a start.

I never did.  That is very thoughtful.  As much as I enjoy the thought my children can't afford flowers for me.  I hope that will change in the near future.
