I hope so, Cillaliz. They've said that every day since Friday, I think.

Well they are going to be right one of these days

I am officially still a barrista and a bookseller, although in another retail chain:  Barnes & Noble.
Great news! I liked working for Barnes & Noble.

td, I think you'll enjoy this. The clerk at Borders on Sunday told me that she had had several people come into the store that day to ask for job applications.

Her supervisor told her she could tell them to come back on Friday.

There was a huge fire across the street from the office when I left work today. Flames were shooting up more than two stories. I don't know yet if it were a brush fire or one of the apartment buildings. I couldn't see where the center of the fire was coming from.

Can you believe that shortly Kritzerland will be releasing its 100th CD?  And it's a personal Holy Grail title for me and one I've been talking about for some weeks here.
Great news. Congratulations.

DR John G did you figure out your classes?  How much work did you miss?  Shouldn't you have received email from your classes with your course work?
I have missed no work, it just feels that way with one class. The other class is still, well, not in session yet.

Well....I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the book THE HAMMERSTEINS.....the pictures are fun and the text is lively with some few revelations...

It puts a lot of early New York/Broadway history in perspective and gives us a good view of the lawless frontier that show business was in the early 20th century.
I look forward to reading my copy, but that won't be until after the semester ends.

USAA is bigger than the Pentagon and about as well protected. That fire wouldn't dare.

Well that's good news.  I was going to ask if you took all your valuables out of the office when you left

Didn't know the fire was raging. And my only valuables at the office are some 90% chocolate and some raw almonds.

What a night.  I was having weird feelings about a track that's on our next release - it was sent out today to our pressing plant for arrival tomorrow.  I couldn't understand why our source material didn't have the main title on it.  I was able to grab it from the Blu and Ray so no worries, although it just didn't sound very good there.  Naturally, we led off with that track.  But the more I thought about it the more I began to have a theory.  So, I listened to it and then listened to the second track and sure enough what was nagging at me was correct.  I'd read online somewhere that the director of the film hadn't wanted a main title sequence at all but when he heard the first cue of the film, which occurs quite a ways in, he liked it so much that he added the main title sequence.  So, what I realized is that basically track one and two were exactly the same, save for one thirty-two second edit from another track in the middle.  That's how it was created.  So, what we ended up doing was recreating that from our better-sounding tracks and then we put it at the end as a bonus track, so we didn't basically have the same thing twice.  I then had to go add all that information in the booklet, which thankfully wasn't sent yet.  So, I e-mailed the pressing plant to toss what they get tomorrow, and they'll have the new one on Thursday morning.  Glad I don't rest until it's right :)

Took a walk tonight down Main Street tonight and saw the new guy driving home from his son's practice.   He's a good guy and really loves his kids.

I think the divorce was not too pleasant.  Will ask one day.

Told him i was a bit nuts, did not seem to scare him away.  ;D
