What a night. I was having weird feelings about a track that's on our next release - it was sent out today to our pressing plant for arrival tomorrow. I couldn't understand why our source material didn't have the main title on it. I was able to grab it from the Blu and Ray so no worries, although it just didn't sound very good there. Naturally, we led off with that track. But the more I thought about it the more I began to have a theory. So, I listened to it and then listened to the second track and sure enough what was nagging at me was correct. I'd read online somewhere that the director of the film hadn't wanted a main title sequence at all but when he heard the first cue of the film, which occurs quite a ways in, he liked it so much that he added the main title sequence. So, what I realized is that basically track one and two were exactly the same, save for one thirty-two second edit from another track in the middle. That's how it was created. So, what we ended up doing was recreating that from our better-sounding tracks and then we put it at the end as a bonus track, so we didn't basically have the same thing twice. I then had to go add all that information in the booklet, which thankfully wasn't sent yet. So, I e-mailed the pressing plant to toss what they get tomorrow, and they'll have the new one on Thursday morning. Glad I don't rest until it's right
