I don't think I ever posted this on this forum.

It's the trailer for THE OLD COOT, the opening short story in my new book.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HAbiNUnWRg

A group of filmmakers here in Austin want to shoot it as a 10-12 minute short...assuming they can raise the money (on Kickstarter?).

I've already scripted it and, if it comes together, I'll also direct.

Fingers crossed.

DR Jose, check your emails ASAP.

No RED MILL at the McGlinnventory, so I guess it will be a 3-day trip to the LoC.

Yes I like Carroll in everything as well....even the tv movies she made in the last ten years.....really liked her in IRONWEED and THE GAME.....and a TV movie about a flood....although it didn't make any sense.

Good morning.  How did I get to be first after BK, even though it's already almost 7 A.M.?
and I went grocery shopping after driving the Vixter to college  (her classes start at 6:30 AM)

If my classes had begun at 6:30, I would have flunked out the first term. I still have dreams that I'm taking a final in a classs I never attended.

Me, too....in my most recent, I am walking to a building I had only been in once that I knew of.  I began roaming the halls.  Some rooms were empty and others were full, but I couldn't find my class.   I suddenly realized the hallways were from the junior high school I attended in the early 1960s.

I HATE those dreams.

WHAT?!?!? Her classes start at 6:30am? -I'm guessing - hoping - that's some sort of physical education class? and not a sit-a-desk-looking-at-a-book-and-listening-to-a-teacher class. -I'm just trying to think any teacher-friends of mine who would teach at 6:30am. ::)

Just read this blog entry/story about one woman's travel nightmare(!) on 9/11/2011...

Some real Shock and Awe: Racially profiled and cuffed in Detroit

Infuriating doesn't even begin to describe my reaction.

Last night, I lost two items I wanted badly in a movie poster auction.  The items were linen-backed stone litho one-sheets for "Hello, Frisco, Hello" and "Star Dust."

I didn't mind too very much as I won two beautiful linen-backed travel ad posters by an Italian artist renowned for his watercolors.  One ad was a scene in Capri, and the other a scene in Anacapri (a second town on the island of Capri, which is both a city and an island).

That said, I have soothed my anguish over the other two posters by, this very morning, not 10 minutes ago, ordering a region-free Blu-ray player.

And to further soothe this anguish, I have ordered, from an Amazon.co.uk seller, a new Blu-ray disc of "Fantasic Planet".

Ain't it about time?

This is yet another instance in the confirmation of my worst fears about "Homeland Security" and "The Patriot Act" -- they're more "third reichian" than they are anything "American".

I am using Chrome for the most part, but I really like Firefox.....is anyone else having trouble with A LOT of crashes on Firefox tha last few days?

I've never had any trouble with Firefox on my computer.  I haven't really used Chrome much, at all.  And for some reason, Internet Explorer on my home computer (and the temp computer that I'm using) is not HHW friendly.  When I type in the "Message" box and there is more text than room and it's supposed to be able to scroll down through the message, it doesn't scroll.  I type a letter at the bottom and it instantly displays the top of the text box again.  I can never see what I'm typing, but I am able to type.  That's the main reason why I don't use IE at home.  Here at work (shh...don't tell anyone), it's fine.

Weird, huh? :-\

Has anyone watched/is anyone planning on watching "Ringer"

I recorded it & will try to watch it tonight.  What did you think?  Will you continue with it?

I liked it...nice (male) eye candy, too. ;) But there are several mysteries already and "where's that going" scenarios.

I would like to know how well, and long, the person or persons who reported these three people were questioned.

If I'm in a middle seat & the person on the aisle goes to the bathroom I am very likely to go then so as not to inconvenience them later.  Two men sitting next to each other & going to the bathroom is very suspicious looking.  ::)

Lucy: Fred, I think I look more like Marilyn Monroe than Ethel does.

Ethel:  And I think I look more like Marilyn Monroe than Lucy does.

Lucy:  What do you think, Fred?

Fred: (a pause)....I think I look more like Marilyn Monroe than either of you.
