Today, I got home and everything was fine with my computer, but then IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! All of a sudden, I had no Internet connection!

I called (the FOURTH TIME in THREE WEEKS) and used the prompts to reset the modem. I thought that it would be automated, but I was connected to a live person. He asked about the modem and saw that there was no signal. He asked me if I had a router (I don't) and if the cable was plugged directly from the wall into the modem (it's not...I have a splitter). He said, "Ahh! That might be it." He had me disconnect the splitter (I was recording "Castle" though

... but it's available on-line) and when the cable was plugged from the wall directly into the modem, I had connectivity!! I was able to find another splitter and all SEEMS well. I just hope that this problem will FINALLY BE OVER!
