TCB, are things on track for your surgery? I really hope you get some relief soon.

I see the surgeon on Thursday for my follow-up appointment.  I am going to ask if we can try the injections first.  I can't possibly be off any more work than I already am.

DR Doug, I enjoyed your Istanbul posts! Thanks for posting.

Scenario from your NEXT trip:
Doug: click, click, click <typing away>.
Your companions: What's he typing? We can't go anywhere without him typing away at his computer/phone.
Doug: I must update all the DRs! They INSIST on knowing where I went and what I ate! They even want photos!
Your companions: DRs?? WHAT is he talking about?! Oy!!
A stranger: Excuse me, do you know Jose?

From Cilla:
Quote
Ricky got his head caught between the metal slat thingys on the back of the bar stool in the kitchen.

Years ago we were pet sitting a German Shepard puppy when something similar happened.  At least the puppy stayed calm as I was sitting next to her in the chair she got her head stuck in.  Keith was home & helped me get her unstuck.

Vibes this doesn't happen again!!!!!

Ricky was in full panic mode, I was afraid that he was going to fall off the chair and hang himself.  Anyway, I was there and the gash in my arm was worth it as he wasn't hurt.

The pillowcases on the backs as chair covers actually look nice and will stop him from putting his head in there again.  I'm going to go to Walmart or Shopko and see if I can find a color that will work better and not get dirty fast - I have off white on them right now.

My sheets are off-white, also.  Well, at least they look that way today.

(That was a joke!)

I know ;D

Jose, my sympathies on your DC commute. I learned the hard way to allow an extra twenty minutes any time I had to drive to DC. You just never know what the problem will be: Presidential motorcade, a parade, construction, or just heavy traffic. I sat on the Key Bridge for twenty minutes one day--traffic into DC was horrendous. In LA, at least, there is usually an alternate route. That if often not so in Washington.

DR Jeanne - I had already left 45 minutes earlier than usual since I had wanted to get to the theatre a little earlier than usual. Alas...

LOL!  Very true, very true.  I spent so much time in the computer lab on the ship, that one person asked if I worked there.

The one advantage of the way the Seahawks are playing this season; the team is almost a lock for getting first choice in next year's NFL draft.

That means they are the worst team in the NFL.

Yes, even allowing extra time sometimes isn't enough. Here, people sometimes say to me, "You're always so early!" Which, of course, is what happens when you DON'T encounter hang-ups.

Having a thorougly relaxing day today (I don't do much on Sundays). Just been watching the Blu-ray of THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY; 1980 British gangster film with Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren. Gangster films are not really my thing - unless they star James Cagney - but it's a well made film and has many interesting location shots of London Docklands as it then was but within a few years was to be completed redeveloped.

We didn't use to leave enough time between visiting people & tended to be late.  Now when we go to LA we see fewer people. :(

I love love love THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY! What a great film.

I am so pissed at myself for not keeping tabs on NYMF this year! The production of PRIDE & PREJUDICE wth my friends Donna Lynne Champlin and Margaret Robinson is completely sold out. I did get tickets for my friend Kasey's show, TIME BETWEEN US.

AND, I did some more investigating about the rewards points and the kitchenaid mixer....it's the 5 quart and is something I would never buy for myself but have wanted for years, so...I spent my rewards points and ordered it.  It means I don't have the points for a trip, but I decided this is something I've always wanted and will be able to use it every day.  I can't wait for it to arrive.

Wishes you are very happy with it.

Thanks Jane, I think I will be.  The decision was a trip I would enjoy for a few days or a mixer I could use for years...I'm turning into a home-body more all the time...the mixer won

My sister has a Kitchenaid mixter and she loves it...and uses it all the time.

I misread it as Kritzerland mixter. Maybe a business BK should consider going in to. :-)

That's very nice.  How could she say no to him when she was leaving.  Keith did the opposite to me and I couldn't resist.  He missed our dog Belle something fierce and one day while walking out the door to go on a business trip he turned to me and basically pleaded he needed a dog.  Of course the fact that he was walking out the door at the time only stressed the fact that once we got a puppy my freedom would be gone because I would do what I always do, spend more time with my pets than apart from them.

Keith had the advantage on me to begin with, a fifteen year old boy at home who never had a puppy.  By the time Keith returned home I had a stack of books & a video on different breeds and had decided on a Bernese Mountain Dog.
