James Darrin looks absolutely amazing - still handsome and youthful.  Seka - well, she doesn't look like Seka anymore - she looks like someone who's probably a grandmother.

Druxy opted out of the movie and dinner so he came downstairs and joined me for dinner.  He had what I had - Caesar salad and chicken pot pie - the latter was REALLY good!  I had a scoop of mixed berry sherbet for dessert.  I am REALLY not in the mood to go to the gym and do the treadmill, but we'll see how I feel in thirty minutes.  I suppose it wouldn't be horrible if I missed a day.

It's some sort of unnatural cherry-strawberry combination. But it tastes great. In its pinkness.

It actually looks a bit like my favorite kind of cake mix, cherry chip.

And I am glad to read that about James Darren.  He always seemed like a nice guy and a very handsome man.

G'night!

Thank you DR's FJL, Michael S, Jrand, Jennifer, & MBarnum.

Michael he was my neighbor when I was 18 until around 22 years old.

Jennifer I'm guessing the police could check if the phone had been used but they couldn't hack it for personal messages.

It does seem so strange that the two cars ended up right next to each other.  Very weird.

It's not really funny. But I loved that the guy they found (the one whose family found him alive) wrote that he did not hurt the dead guy.

Weather here has turned very cold. I had to remember what my Fall jackets are. This is the first day that i've really had to think about wearing a jacket out during the day.

Brrrr. It has been so nice and hot all week. And now today it was like 8C. Brrrrr. :(

DR Jane (or anyone else), did you watch the second episode of THE GIFTED MAN? Love this show.

Also, I found HART OF DIXIE on an obscure channel here starting on Monday. Not sure if i will have to watch the pilot online or if they are starting with the pilot this week.

bk - Did you dine in the hotel's restaurant?

If the weather is nice, I'd opt for a nice walk outside instead of the treadmill. -If you're in a walkable part of town. -Or take a cab to Andersonville or Wicker Park and walk around there.

Oh, dear friends, please accept my apologies for seeming to sit here all this time like so much fish.  About 6 hours ago, my computer completely froze and I just shut it down and left with Richard for a short visit to Middfest.  By the time we got home Rob and Mary Linda were here, so we had pizza for dinner and they opened some presents that had arrived this week.

I was a little tired late this morning  and took a nap and I woke from a very strange dream.

It was a "Little House On the Prairie" type setting. The main character was twentyish bitter Liberian. The dream was populate with people I've never seen before except my dream had a "Very Special Guest Star" Buffy St. Marie. She played a character who comes to town as the (unnamed) state first Native American politician. She meets the Liberian and it turns out that she is White Buffalo Calf Woman.*

White Buffalo Calf Woma takes the Liberian on a spiritual journey and she is able to find peace and love within herself. She wakes up and is alone in the library thinking it might be a dream. The woman in her Politician guise comes to say goodbye  to the Liberian and she has a cathartic moment and cries. (Emmy type crying)

Liberian alone goes back to her counter and knocks over some books. One book falls to floor and it is a book about White Buffalo Calf Woman with a picture very special guest star Buffy St Marie on the cover. Something startles her and she wakes up in modern times in a library picking up the same book off the floor.

Did she dream it or did she embark on a spiritual journey. (Roll end credits)

* For those that may not know who White Buffalo Calf Woman is; she is a sacred woman of supernatural origin, is treated as a prophet or a messiah and is central to the Lakota religion. (So I guess the dream had to take place in one of the Dakotas or Minnesota

1. Delete this immediately and write the screen play sounds like a Hallmark very special event  special

and 2
(being a lousy typist as we all know, I need to ask this)

Is the embittered person an emigrant from Liberia or a person who works in a library (Librarian)

librarian :-)

I must have mistyped it originalyl and it self corrected to Liberian. Thanks

I don't think this has every been released on VHS or DVD or BluRay

Well...

As the final book scene plays itself out...

I believe that once I get back to my brother's place after the show I'm going to take care of some packing and then head right to bed. Tomorrow will be a long day: visit my niece in the morning, matinee, final band dinner, closing show, closing night party. -And then I'm on the 8:30 Bolt Bus on Monday morning back to NYC. There's still a chance I may just head up on Tuesday, but... We'll see.

I hope everyone has a good Saturday night.

Goodnight.

Jose, yes, both meals in the hotel restaurant.  Very good food.  There's a Morton's right next door to the hotel - in all my years, I've never actually eaten at a Morton's but I don't really feel like a big steak.
