TOD - anything high fat, high sodium is unhealthy for me, so I probably eat something unhealthy every day.  Ironically, because of the meds I take, broccoli and grapefruit are also unhealthy.  I just have to remind myself that there are lots of good alternatives and enjoy those as much as possible.

Off to see the Outside The Box trailer - if it's good to go I'll have him do the Quick Time file and we'll put it up tonight or tomorrow.

I'm happy you all had a good laugh today at my expense. I actually go by the name Tiffany Lampe.

After looking at the original scores and orchestra parts for ROBERTA, I have no idea how Chappell published the cockamamie mess they call a vocal score. The parts show lots of alterations with cuts and revisions, but the Chappell score, which is the basis for the Tams-Witmark rental version is a disaster. Mark Horowitz found my carton of scores for The New amsterdam Theatre Company, so tomorrow I will copy those, look over the copyright "Gowns By Roberta" libretto, and begin copying the Victor Herbert scores.

My evening is open, so I think I will chill out, watch tv, read a bit, and sleep.

Believe it or not, Hedison is 84 years old.  Still extremely vital, as is apparent from the photo.

He still looks quite handsome (as do you, CP).

So what are your plans on your birthday, Doug?

As the date coincides with one of my regular reunion get togethers with ex-work colleagues, I shall be carousing through the night.

Really?  Wow!

Well, I'm very sorry I missed all the merriment....not that I'd have been able to add anything original.

Bertha Fenation, for instance, is old.

Hedda Lettuce, ditto.

But there are some kicky possibilities, like Ginger Snapps....Cokie Kohler.....Helena Balzac....Anita Shtuppe....etc.

Stopped at K-mart today to get some keys made and while waiting I glanced at the DVDs.

Picked up GORILLA AT LARGE for just $5.00. Can you believe it!

Looks like Billie Hayes has cancelled her appearance for next Saturday's Hollywood Show. Too bad. I was looking forward to meeting her.

DR PennyO - When? Where? How?

Hope you have a productive meeting with DR elmore's colleague.

Welcome back, Jose!!! Howz tomorrow, late-ish morning, coffee and catching up??? I'm at 66th and B'way, right across the street from Juilliard.

Perfect! I have to stop by the NY Phil in the morning anyway. We could meet in The Rubenstein Atrium, or 63 Bites Cafe in the YMCA building. Or.... More laters..

Okay - where are said places??? I'm on 66th and Broadway, right at Lincoln Center!I can't wait to see you, ol' pal!!!

Thank you, m'dear!! Broke 'em both!! Elmo's collaborator, DJ, is so charming, such a heart-centered, dear soul, it was a blissful hour down in Chelsea. We talked about everything. I'm taking the play back to my boss at Rogue Machine Theatre - I think we should do it next year, as a holiday piece. It's really beautiful, touching. I think it may actually go far - the world needs something besides Scrooge and Tiny Tim, year after year... can't wait to hear Elmo's arrangements!! DJ just raves about them. I expressed my strong interest in doing it - the part has been offered, but not accepted. So if the other gal passes on the opportunity, guess who'll fly in on her own wings to do this piece???? The characters are marvelous and the songs are killer. Who wouldn't want to do this???

T.O.D.

I guess I would have to say potatoes are my downfall.  Lyonnaise potatoes, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, twice baked potatoes, hash browns, French fries, etc., etc., etc.

Not really junk food, but they are my weakness.

My doctor's appointment today was a 6-month follow-up with the hematologist.  The one I had been seeing has left the practice, but I liked the guy I saw today because he offered (with no prompting from me) to try to get my insurance company to provide a home protime testing kit.  That's the blood test that I have to have at least once a month to determine my Coumadin dosage and I'd be a happy camper if I could do it with a finger stick instead of a visit to the lab for a major blood draw.

Ginny, I hope that happens for you.  But what will the vampires in your town do now?
