Does anyone know where the "mutual friends" list went on facebook?  I liked that.

Border Patrol was interesting. He asked if we were citizens. He looked through the window into the back seat. He walked around the car. He came back and looked at us for several seconds (to see if we were squirming, I assume.) Then he let us go.

Maybe they have had some middle-aged female drug runners lately.

The light was wrong for the spider, Jane. I like the sun to be behind me. But the spider didn't cooperate today.

Former DR Jason is working in Japan & put a very funny video of the toilet in his hotel room on FB.  I have shared it on my page.  If you are friends with him read the comments under the video.

I'm still waiting for the rain.  They predicted 2-3 inches.  We've had 2-3 drops

Cillaliz! When did you move back to Arizona??

I think if you every time the rain is predicted and does not fall

I've been home all day doing not much of anything (well...I did do some laundry, so it wasn't a total loss ;)), but now I'm off to "Pugstock!"  My friend Pug had surgery a few months ago and this will be a fund raiser for her and her family.  I'm sure I'll have a good time for a good cause!  Here's a description of the event:

Quote
As you know, our good friend Pug recently underwent major surgery. This is a one-night fundraiser to raise fund to help off-set medical cost that were incurred.

Pug has been and continues to be a major force in the local theater community. She has worked with Harlequin Productions, Evergreen Playhouse (Centralia), Olympia Little Theater, Centralia College, Prodigal Sun, South Puget Sound Community College and was a founding member of Blackwash Theater and Theater Artists Olympia.

She has touched and helped many people in her theater career and we think this is a wonderful time to help her back.

We have a great night of fun, drinks, and a special appearance of Joe's Diner from The Outfit Theater Project. We also will have raffle tickets for many local theater productions in the greater Olympia area and a special auction for a weekend get away at the Ocean Crest Resort in Moclips, Wa.

The suggested donation for the evening is only $10. Our goal is to raise approximately $1,500.

Until later!

Oh... Yeah...

I went to the New York City Ballet earlier tonight. It was quite a nice program. One Balanchine piece: "Square Dance" (music by Corelli and Vivaldi). One by Peter Martins: "Fearful Symmetries" (music by John Adams). And one by Jerome Robbins: West Side Story Suite (Bernstein, Sondheim).

Good Evening!

The ballet was wonderful!

Was everything beautiful at ballet?
Did graceful men lift lovely girls in white?
Were you happy at the ballet?

Tonight's "Pugfest" to raise some money for my friend Pug was a fun event.  There was a (first-time-ever) comedian, a keyboard-playing singer, a longish-form improv comedy skit and a raffle!  There were some really fun raffle prizes and I didn't win any...but it was fun and I can only hope that a lot of money was raised for Pug. :D

And now, to bed.  Tomorrow, I have to help my sister with something that shouldn't take too long, and then I'm going to finally see "The Help."

Good night, all. 8)
