is the name of the play. It was originally done Off-Broadway with the amazing Kathleen Chalfant.

MTC is Manhattan Theatre Club

They began in the 70s as an Off-Broadway regional theatre. One of their biggest hits was the original production of Ain't Misbehavin'. They now have a space on Broadway, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and space at City Center where they do the Off-Broadway work.

Yesterday Sherlock had a bath. He smells so good & his fur is very soft. He looks extra handsome.

The language when a play was never on Bway is that it's a revival if it:

is deemed a "classic" or in the historical or popular repertoire

WIT may be seen as a revival under that language.

Is that like the rights to that "Great Gatsby" musical that they recently did a reading of in New York? Just the score because the rights to the book were tied up.

Good Evening!

Well... We have our first orchestra rehearsal tomorrow!

*It's been interesting observing the staff during rehearsals. Maybe I'm a bit "jaded" from being in New York City and being a part of workshops and knowing how Encores! works, but it's been "fun" watching the "locals" starting to panic in regards to how relatively little time we have to put this show together. I was even praised today for being "the calm amidst the storm". I mean... The cast already knows their music - and they'll be using their books and music during the presentation, so... That's about 80% of the work right there. Still to come: four more days of staging rehearsal, eight hours of orchestra rehearsal, a sitzprobe, 20(!) hours of tech, and two full dress runs with the orchestra. All of that before we open next Friday for the five show run... Why wouldn't I be calm?

DR TCB - There was also quite a good tele-version of the play presented by HBO a couple of years ago starring Emma Thompson. *I just checked: it was first broadcast in 2001. -Wow! was it really 10 years ago?
