I think in order to get this house ready for Christmas we will need that  TV bunch that comes over and knocks down the whole house and then build a new one three times the size of the old one

That reminds me, the other night my cell phone rang at about 3:00 a.m.. The phone was in the other room so I didn't get up.  Then the phone started beeping that I had a voice message.  I stayed in bed while a hundred different bad scenarios flashed thru my head.  Finally I went and got the phone and brought it back to the bedroom.  After several prayers, I opened the phone.  And I found, not only a voice message but a text message wanting me to switch my car insurance!

Those bastards! >:(

After watching parts of last night's debate, I think I prefer this yard sign.

That's pretty funny!

DR Doug, I was quite amused by your TV story. Not very amusing for you, though! Exasperating, I should think. I hope you're able to get that new TV to behave--pronto!

:(  Too bad you can't call & wake that person up.

They're probably in India and still awake. ::)

Thanks, DR KEVIN, for the detailed reports. What an interesting time you must be having! I, too, am amazed that Hugh Jackman raised $40,000 so quickly. But glad.

I guess it would make a great tax write-off.

Yes, for some high rollers.

I can't imagine any other reason you would pay $20,000.00 for Jackman's tee-shirt.

Especially a dirty one that you can't wash.

Why would you want to??  IT'S FROM HUGH JACKMAN!! ;D

Beautiful tree, Ginny!  There was a great HGTV special on tonight about decorating the White House and your tree would fit right in.  :)

Re: tonight's TAR.  (No real spoilers here)--I learned to type on an old typewriter that didn't have a "1" and I still remember my Dad showing me to use the little "l".  :)  I would have aced that challenge.

Jane, we can agree to not agree.  He's been around this here site long enough to know he was going to get many, many birthday wishes from many, many people who've been very nice to him.  To not take ten seconds to come here and acknowledge those wishes seems weird to me.  I'm sure he'll be back when he's finished doing whatever it is he's doing, but in the meantime I just found it a bit of bad form to not stop by for a moment and thank the folks who left him the wishes.
