*Brunswick Stew was one of the very first American dishes Stella learned to make when she came to the States from Greece. Her traditional Greek dishes are also quite wonderful. ;)

Checking the forecast for Buffalo--no snow for the next several days!  It looks like it'll be one of the few non-White Christmases in years.

Make latkes for the first time that I can remember. They were made with buckwheat flour and onions, instead of potatoes, which Joan Nathan said in her cookbook. That's what was used before potatoes made it to the Old World. Delish.

Good Evening!

Well... It appears my mother has found a new favorite TV channel: LMN - the Lifetime Movie Network.

OY! and VEY!

My sister-in-law Jo loves that channel, too! I tell her it's the ALL-MEN-ARE-EVIL channel.

THE CLOSER has a great opening sequence tonight. But heartbreaking.

Still stuck on that same number - I wonder how many hundreds of views just disappear into the ether, and I also wonder how videos I posted of the benefits I've done used to climb to much more extraordinary numbers in the days when the counter didn't freeze.

Topic of the Day (not all of these are specifically in "hospital" settings, but they're at least medical):

Body of Proof
Grey's Anatomy
House Calls (the movie, not the TV show)
M*A*S*H
Quincy, M.E.
Royal Pains
Scrubs
Trapper John M.D.

I used to like Private Practice, but it just got too weird for me. :P

One thing I really SHOULD do soon is throw more out! I can't believe how things pile up! Much easier to clean with less clutter.

I keep thinking the same. I've got stuff piled high in the attic and I must start clearing it all out in the New Year.

As soon as you throw it out, you will need it, or someone will ask you if you have it.

Oh my......I may be talking myself right into an episode of HOARDERS.

My mom also thinks that I'm heading into Hoarders territory.  I keep saying that I should clean up...but I still haven't done it. ::)

The only difference between "Collectors" and "Hoarders" is the size of your house --- if I had a house the size of oh, say Ohio, I would be in good shape!

Don't get scared.....

The most horrifying thing is the marijuana necklace she's wearing.  :)

I thought it was a lizard

Because this subject came up yesterday I'm curious how others feel.  Keith & I said if we are on vacation & there is nothing we can do about it, please don't tell us our pet died until we return home.  Craig said he would want to know.  How would you feel about it?  Of course I would want to talk to my vet if any care or treatment were done before hand.

The next thing that came up, so I guess the people did need to know, is that they want an autopsy to know what happened.  I think I could leave instructions for that ahead of time.

I would not want to know until I came home

Donna Murphy just ordered a People In The Picture - I wonder if she even knows Kritzerland is me.

A package from Kritzerland arrived in the mail today. I'm assuming it's People in the Picture, but I won't open it until Christmas. No time to listen to it until then.

Why do I never get Kritzerland releases as soon as others, even though I'm one of the closest to BK?  It's a plot, I tells ya.

I believe it was either MBarnum or JR, those two aficionados of quality film, who may have mentioned the extremely outre K. Gordon Murray SANTA CLAUS.  I'm not exactly pleased to say it's out on Blu-ray and I am in the depths of attempting to review it.  :)

And...

Since I'm actually feeling a bit sleepy already at 11:13pm - and since I also have two "condensed" presentations of MFL tomorrow...

Goodnight.

No posts in four hours - that is hardly the holiday way and is more than a little pathetic, I'm afraid.
