Good morning, all! I slept well, I think, and I'm up early so I can be one of the first folk to hit the 68th Street Post Office when they open. I have a few packages to put into priority mail and a package of photocopies of the Herbert lieder to send to Cologne. I will be finished, hopefully, by 10am.
At 1pm I'm having lunch in midtown with an old friend from my hometown whom I rarely see, primarily because his wife drives me insane. When I last saw them, I would ask him a question and she would answer it; in fact, I would guess that in the two or so hours, I spoke maybe thirty minutes and my friend spoke fifteen. That gives her a talking time of an hour and fifteen minutes, and she's not all that interesting!
After that, it's back to ROBERTA and its endless fashion show. I have to print out several lists of the McGlinnventory libretti and plays so that tomorrow morning I can go to the office and collect further information, like publisher, translator - 6 different editions of PEER GYNT, for instance! - and condition for the auction lists. Our paralegal is wnderful but literature and music were never ywo of her prime subjects.
