Question for you Apple/Mac types: Freddy's (the local Kroger chain) is having an iPad sale, with everything off $50, plus tomorrow they have an additional $30 off. Should I stimulate the economy?
And if so, what version of the iPad do any/all of you recommend?
There's basically only one version of the iPad out right now: the iPad 2.
However, it's a matter of options:
-Black or White
-WiFi only
-WiFi and 3G -Then you have to decide if you want AT&T or Verizon - At least with the iPad, you can sign up for a month-to-month 3G plan with no yearly obligation.
-Then it's just a matter of how much on-board storage you want: 16GB, 32GB or 64GB - And, yes, the more GBs, the higher the price.
So...
If you want to splurge for a Wifi and 3G enabled one, that may be the way to go. That's what I have. I don't have the 3G enabled, but it's nice to know that it's there should I ever have the real need to activate it. -There are enough WiFi hotspots in NYC and DC and even here in Richmond, that I don't have a need for the 3G. And if I do need a 3G connection, well, then I use my iPhone.
