Well, I was just chatting with DakotaCelt on Facebook (all I'll say is that she is no friend of 3D) and she wanted me to share a Soap Roundtable that she was involved with.  Click HERE to find out what people think of the cancellation of the soaps...or something like that.  What's cool is that you can download the MP3 and listen to it at your leisure, which is a good idea, since it's 2 1/2 hours!  Anyway, that's my post for Dakota. :)

Not much else to report. We had a great lunch yesterday with our dear 81 year old friend. We stopped at Cost-Co with him and then we came home to a wonderful roast chicken dinner.

Today we will have Roast Beast with potatoes and string beans, crescent rolls and apple and cherry pie. We will exchange gifts later in the evening. Tomorrow we will spend at Anthony's Uncle and Aunt's with other relatives. I shall also call my brothers and sisters (since I'm the only one out of Minnesota I have to do the calling) and that's our plan for two days.

Scrooge with Mr Albert Finney.....I like everybody except the Ghost of Christmas Present.....that guy is terrible....and his song isn't so great either.
AND I miss the people standing around talking about Scrooge in the FUTURE segment.....and one of my favorite lines...."Oh, I don't mind going to the funeral....if lunch is provided."

I am  enjoying these episodes of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour......someone in the casting department had a good eye for nice looking men actors.....and last night's episode had a rather special interest subtext......if you can stand the commercials....and you can watch the first interaction between Don Chastain and his caller, you may see what I mean.

Watched SCROOGE starring TCB as Scrooge last night - what a wonderful way to get rid of some of the foul mood I've been in much of this holiday week.  Toby saw me crying uncontrollably and tried to (he thought) comfort me,*  but I explained that these were good tears, tears to remove bad things from the system.  And so I'll try to remain through Christmas Day.   Thank you, dear TCB, for your wonderful talent and for sharing your great gifts as an entertainer with audiences.


* Dylan, on the other hand, smiled as if to say to Toby, "See if you can get a treat or two out of this. Giving treats always makes him feel better"

Way back in 1992, I played Scrooge - too many lines!!  But it's a great part!  With my friends Brad and Adeline (who passed away in 2010) - and with Marley.....not sure why the costumer thought people would be wearing denim in Hell....   :P

Christmas Eve greetings!  A few more cooking and household preps today before we meet Mary Linda for a late lunch/early dinner and a service at the church she and Rob have been attending.  Paramedic Rob has to work until at least 6pm, so he and she should get home about the same time.

Good morning, all! I've been up for some time and the laundry is in the washers. My morning will be finishing the laundry, tidying up a bit and wrapping the few gifts I have to deliver on tomorrow's peregrinations.

I want to spend the afternoon workng on the interminable Fashion Show - will it ever ever end? - and the evening watching DVDs. Last night I ended up watching BRIDESMAIDS, which amused me t no end.

BK, I am sure the cooks among us will verify this, but I had no clew until Betsy told me this the other night:  I had helped her chop some garlic and, like you yesterday, reeked of it.  She brought me over a stainless steel spoon and told me to wipe my hands on it, which I found rather odd.  But it actually removes the smell from your hands!
