Good Evening!
Well... The new production of Gounod's "Faust" at The Metropolitan Opera is... well... new. And long.
Alagna was good, but I could tell he was pacing himself for singing Cavaradossi tomorrow night.
And, as I sort of joked and feared, since it was directed by Des McAnuff, some of the staging reminded me of "The Who's Tommy".
I'm glad I only paid $20 for the ticket. If I had paid $270 for that orchestra seat, I probably would have gone ahead and enjoyed a good nap. -Like a couple people around were throughout the evening.
