Hi, Jenny...I haven't met you yet. I think you started posting about the time I started drowning in jobs. So let me say HELLO! and welcome back...

Thank you dear reader Francois. It was so nice to be remembered that I wasn't around. I just had no computer at home to work from and the computer at work is not allowed for personal use. Big edict about that.

I have a strange question for people on the west coast. Those in Pacific Standard time. When prime time television programing was pre-empted for the Regan thing on the east but over by the time prime time starts on the west coast what programs did they show? The regular scheduled programs or something else? The same thing I guess for the soaps. The ones that were not shown on the east coast were they shown on the west coast?

DR Jason:

Did Poop: The Musical ever really have a chance of being produced in a major way?

Catching Up:

In the DVD Player: The first six episodes of Two's Company a Britcom with Elaine Stritch. Not as funny as I remembered it being. But seemed to be written to fit Elaine Stritch down to her speech patterns.

Talking of Miss Stritch: Saw the DA Pennebaker documentary on her and the creation of her show. Since I saw the show live in NYC and have the DVD of the complete show. I thought there was too much on stage stuff and not enough backstage stuff  about the creation or about what makes Miss Stritch tick off stage.

Oh yes also watched Spy Kids 3D movie. Interesting 3D but that's about it. Doesn't anyone remember the movie TRON? I still think that movie was ahead of its time in terms of special effects and concept.

Michael: POOP was slated for an Off-Broadway production, but due to creative conflicts between the composer and the proposed producers, the production was called off. They later had a reading in NYC with several Equity actors that I was actually asked to be a part of (the week after I did MOBY DICK), but I declined because of the time constraints and lack of pay. Barrett Foa took my place. Bill Russell (of SIDE SHOW and ELEGIES...QUEENS) directed. Soon thereafter, the composer and lyricist/librettist had a major rift and haven't spoken to each other since.

If they could find it in their hearts to reconcile and rename the property S#!t, I bet they could land an open-ended gig in Las Vegas.

Doesn't god merit color?

It's Jewish THIGHS on Broadway. I think Jewish THINGS on Broadway is about chorus boys, but I could be wrong...

Don't know why because that was the first odorama musical ever!

So, like, Dear Reader Jenny, whassup?  First you're gone like that [sound of snapped fingers] and then [again, the sound of snapped fingers] you're back.  Spill your guts, girl, and ply us with the saga of your absence.  (Oh, a sort of Weill/Gershwin reference.)

Well, I spent the afternoon and evening with THE LAST OF SHEILA (again), THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, and TERMINATOR 3 (on HBO high definition). SHIELA holds up wonderfully well, ANNE FRANK is a wonderful play but Stevens' has directed ploddingly, and TERMINATOR 3 in high definition was no more enjoyable than on the DVD I watched at a friend's house some months ago.

Also went on AOL and their Entertainment news reads: Ray Charles & J.Lo's secret wedding top the week's headlines

Does this mean she is already a widow?

Wow.  Bigger than President Reagan's demise and week-long wake and funeral?  Bigger than the steps taken this week toward Iraq's self-governance?

I am ever so glad the media keep things in perspective these days.
