I finessed, then wrote a few new pages, then rewrote the Channing section (not really rewriting, just some deletions and rephrasing a couple of sentences - that's all it really took), then I ate, then picked up one tiny package, then came home, wrote ten more pages, read the rewrites to muse Margaret who loved them and said it made everything better, then wrote another page or two. I'm just taking a little break, then I'll continue writing until six.
