Well, you've read the notes, the notes kept on truckin', and now it is time for you to post until the truckin' cows come home.

Topic of the Day:

On my hi-def DVR:  last night's episode of "Royal Pains" and last Tuesday's episode of "Glee."  I can't believe that I haven't watched "Glee," yet!  What am I waiting for??  I also have the two-hour pilot to "The Firm."  I should be able to watch all of these this weekend.  I don't have rehearsal and have nothing else to do.

In my CD player at work:  NOTHING!  I got a new computer a couple of weeks ago and the new ones no longer have built-in CD/DVD players. :'( That means I need to get my own portable CD player...again.  I used to have one, but I think I gave it away (either to my niece or my dad).  They're pretty cheap these days, I'm sure.

TOD:

DVD: The High Bright Sun - 1964 British film starring Dirk Bogarde recently released on DVD for the first time. Good transfer. I don't recall seeing the film before. It's OK but nothing special. Let down by co-star Susan Strasberg who gives a hopeless perfomance!

Blu-ray: Nothing. But Cleopatra is on her way and I must order the new Spellbound.

University of Phoenix is one of the first universities to offer on-line classes and degrees. They have been doing it for quite a few years now. The ad campaign "I'm a Phoenix" refers to the graduates of U of Phoenix and the success they achieved by going to UofP

My task for the next three days is to continue to upload all the cds that were deleted from my ITunes. Only 9,000 or so tracks left to do.

Made it to the Cowboy Breakfast by 5 a.m. and only had to drive around a half-hour before finding a parking place. Ran into a couple of old friends who were cooking morning. (It's safer behind the food lines, than with the tens of thousands on the other side.) Hope I got some good photos.

TOD:

DVD: I still have to watch "Moneyball" before it's due back to the library and the rest of season two of "Friday Night Lights."

CD: George Antheil, in honor of finishing "Hedy's Folly," which is about the torpedo that he and Hedy Lamarr developed during WWII. Great book. Highly recommended.

Car CD: Disc 2 of 30 of "11/22/63"

WIT with my friend Zachary Spicer opened on Broadway last night.  Looking at the reviews, I guess he was "also in the cast."

Didn't even see his photo in the opening night group.

Good morning, all! After several good nights of sleep, it all went to hell last night. Such is life.

Today, I have quite a bit of DEAREST ENEMY work, and then I'll begin notes for Disc 3 of the Herbert songs. It's raining outside, so I'm happy to have no reason to go anywhere.

TOD:
DVD: Doris Day-Gordon Macrae films from Netflix, a couple of operas including LA GIOCONDA
CD:  Herbert songs, Guy Haines, THE FORTUNE TELLER, DIE FLEDERMAUS
    VCR: old porn

I forgot! I do have to step out to the pharmacy and pick up some prescriptions. I guess I'll work for a couple of hours and then make the trip my daily exercise.

Friday morning greetings!  Another gloomy day in SW Ohio...

TOD - I've been listening on my iPhone to an audiobook on loan from my former employer.  It expires at 1:10pm  today, so I'm going to knit and listen until I finish it.
