Had a little meeting.  Picked up one teeny-tiny package.  I shall now be on my way to West Los Angeles to see what I hope is not too long of a play.

Does anyone know why on two of the better (best) songs from Sunset Blvd "With One Look" and "As If We Never Said Goodbye"

There is a credit that says; "Contributions by Amy Powers"?

DR Michael S - As others have pointed out already, Amy Powers is considered a co-writer of "Sunset Blvd." In fact, IIRC, her credit is a result of a lawsuit. You can Google the specifics.

I did. As I said I found own website but it didn't say anything.

Found some others but didn't say what happened.

I guess I didn't put the right google words in

I just thought people here would give me a quick answer.

I usually google first before I ask a question here.

BUT

Thanks for your answer

Googling tells you everything the press wants you to know.

Don't you suppose the situation was resolved out of court with Miss Powers getting her due share of royalties and credit and everything closed to avoid further embarrassment to Lloyd Webber?

If you want to know more, ask Miss Powers through her website.  While I'm sure she's told her friends plenty, I bet her answer, while she's giving her accountant the taxable income from her royalties last year, would probably be something like "none of your business."

I had not picked up a 2012 calendar yet & asked Craig to do so when we went to the mall on Friday.  I wanted a cat calendar with a photo of a painting each month.  He found one on sale for only $4.00.

Duchess of Duke Street is quite wonderful!

We have watched 6 episodes so far. 25 to go. Gemma Jones is great and the attention to detail is amazing. I look forward to each episode.

DR Michael Shayne - Just in case this did not come up in your search results, here's an article from the Fall 1993 issue about SUNSET BLVD and it's various financial circumstances:

Oh...

I liked CHINGLISH. And it was especially interesting seeing it with my friend, Yosh, who is Chinese. He picked up one subtle(?) running joke: the music - Chinese pop - that played during the scene transitions all had lyrics based on what a nagging mother would say. ;)

DR JMK - If you had mentioned this before, I apologize for asking this now:
-How long will the Chinese exchange student be staying with you?
-Have you and Betsy - and Gabe and Zach - been studying Chinese?

And...

-Which of your boys will get "exchanged"? Gabe or Zach? ::)

Today's going to be a day.  Theater Artists Olympia is having a work party to help with set painting and a bit of construction.  I think that they're going to feed us, so that'll be nice.  I also don't know how long it'll last.  There's also a work party tomorrow, for even more painting and whatever needs to be done.  We load in next weekend!

Today's work party was, evidently, the most successful (meaning, the most attended) work party that they've ever had!  We had about 10 people there and we got a lot of work done...some people cut wood, I helped paint and screw plywood together, everyone helped assemble set pieces, etc.  We did get fed some pizza, which was quite good.  I got there at about 10:30 am and left at about 4:30 pm.  I came home, watched a bit of TV up in my bedroom, took a nap for about an hour, then watched some more TV.  I finally decided to turn on my computer to check my e-mail and ketchup on HHW. :D

Tomorrow will be Work Party, Part 2.

I love Lauren!  I haven't seen her in a while.  Great picture. :D

For the first time in 50 Years a movie is being filmed in CINERAMA!

It started filming Jan 12/12 in LA

Here is a behind the scenes look.

Cool!  There's a Cinerama theater in Seattle!
