It's woven copper, believe it or not, absolutely gorgeous.  It catches the light in all sorts of cool ways.  I haven't been drawn to an art object like this in years, maybe ever.

I bet it looks great in you house.  Does Betsy like it as much as you do?

Did anyone comment that you were suppose to be chaperoning, not shopping. ;)

Betsy loves it.  Everyone actually had a "free shopping" morning yesterday in Cannon Beach, which as you probably know, is tiny.  The kids were easy to spot and keep track of, and the town was actually otherwise almost completely deserted.

Today is headache day.  I have mine.  How about you?

I didn't get mine...I feel left out. :(

Sadly, if Grandma stays with her tomorrow, she will think suspension is lots more fun than school.

I do not like Jonathan Schwartz and here's why: I once went into Footlight Records in the late 1990s and there was Mr. Schwartz selling SEALED promos we and other labels had sent him.  SEALED, as in unopened and unplayed.  He's been on my merde list ever since.

How rude! >:(

What did you do when you picked her up?  Was she really bad or was it the school being overly cautious?

I listened to her explanation. Then when we got back, I sat her at the table to start her homework.

Isn't he composer Arthur Schwartz's son?

He's generally considered a pig around town.

His brother Paul used to live in my building. I like him.

Not cool at all!  When I listen to him I always wish I was listening to DR Ben's voice instead.

Jane, you're very sweet. Thank you.

Speaking of that, I think I may actually be on this weekend on Beverley's new program. If so, you'll get the regular e-mail blast sometime over the weekend.

BK, one of your albums, "Shakespeare on Broadway," is leading to the revival of the musical, "Music Is." It's mentioned in the following:

I just saw that and was going to post it, too!  Check out this paragraph:

Quote
"I first heard about the show from an album [called] 'Shakespeare on Broadway'," Martin told Playbill.com by phone from Cullowhee, NC. "The song that caught my attention was 'Should I Speak of Loving You.' It's beautifully melodic, it has a lovely flow and a sentimental longing to it. It was [intended to be] the hit song of the show…the melody is heard in the entr'acte and exit music."
