Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a little rant, and now it is time for you to post until the ranting cows come home.

I went to the site that BK mentioned in his notes. I was curious to see who that person was. But first a review for "To Kill a Mockingbird" went up last night (at this time) so far no one has commented on it as yet.

UPDATE: Wasn't the site I thought it was but still...

Good news is that he "HIGHLY RECOMMENDS" the film. It is a rave.

And he is the first reviwer that I have read that says "....And while we’re on the subject, if you haven’t read the book, I strongly recommend you do so.  It’s a beautiful piece of storytelling, conveyed in the dialect of Harper Lee’s childhood town of Monroeville, Alabama..."

He also says " The Blu-ray shows off a new HD transfer that handles the film with a clear amount of love and care – this is absolutely not the DNR problem that some may have feared, and that some reviewers may be alleging.  It’s truly a pleasure to watch this.'

I thought I'd pass this on. Get a copy to rent or to buy. I think I will.

In case you'd like to read it.....

Good morning, all! There were at least three dreams last night, but I only remember that the first was a frightening one about my grandmother's terrifying haunted place at 711 Tenth Avenue and the last was all about the Herbert song deadlines: I'm still waiting for two singers biographies, a decision on the word count for the notes, and the last round of notes to be cleared.

Today I have work on ROBERTA: "You're Devastating," a call to Joshie about the Encores! dress rehearsal, several emails to send, and a word count on the complete lyrics for the songs. It's not exciting, but that's okay.

Monday morning greetings!  I'm up early to send an early email that I should have sent by noon last Friday - oops.  Today I'm off to the southern burbs of Dayton for the rescheduled appointment with my cardiologist.  No problem, just time for a check-up and prescription refills.

Congrats on last night's show and on getting a great guest star for next month. I remember watching Andrea M when she was on 'Love Is a Many Splendored Thing."

Great to wake up to a new video on BlueGobo.com. This one is of Cheyenne Jackson and Kate Baldwin singing "Ol' Devil Moon" from the recent revival of "Finian's Rainbow" that Elmore worked on. Their voices are in great form.

TOD: This is the only chat room/website forum I come to. I have unfriended Facebook friends who get too rowdy with political postings that don't make sense, on both the right and the left. And I just ignore tweets that are ugly; actually, I don't pay much attention to Twitter unless it's related to the food site.

TOD:

I once had an experience akin to BK's short story, "Your Worst Nightmare," but it's too involved to go into here.

Very upsetting.

Everyone got to the Super Bowl Party so early yesterday that we were all finished eating by 5pm. And there was still another 1 hour 1/2 till the game started. :)

The cheesecake was well received. Although some found it very delicious but rich. My niece loved it. I found it rich. But most chessecakes are rich. I thought it was excellent. My sister tasted peanut butter. I thought that the peanut butter was downplayed a lot. Not sure if i would put more next time (i love reese peanut butter cups).

I read the book years ago, which of course is brilliant, but I'm sorry to admit that I've never seen the film. The Blu comes out next week in the UK along with another must-get All Quiet on the Western Front.

Yes the SuperBoil is over - I watched the last quarter of the game which was most entertaining.  And of course we here in Indiana are pleased with the result.

Hopefully things - including traffic - will return to normalcy soon.

I do not like political discussions on message boards....here or elsewhere - I usually just read, but try not to comment.

A bit too much yodeling and yowling on the Star Spangled Banner - but that's the American Idol influence we are stuck with.

I enjoyed the half time show - it's not as if she had time to do a concert - you know, a few minutes to set up and then do the show and then tear it down.....  And a LIVE audience of millions of people.....  Madonna did a nice job.

I am listening to the marvelous Bud Shank, a CD full of his bossa nova sessions, most of which feature the wonderful Clare Fischer on keys (a number of great Fischer compositions are also included).

As should have been fairly clear from both my and BK's comments over the past several weeks, the TKAM basher is on "my" site, not HTF.  I fully agree with BK's assessment.  But as I've told BK himself, arguing with these people is arguing with a brick wall, except that a brick wall probably has more sense.
