There's a name I haven't thought about in...oh, at least 12 years.  Left that group and never looked back.  At the time, he had something to say about everything said on every single thread.  I imagined an invalid with absolutely nothing to do...someone who received his nutrition and meds intravenously...who pooped, etc., into bags...who had no reason to move except to type comments in that damned forum.

Topic of the Day:

HHW is really the only board/forum that I've been on.  I've posted on MySpace (I actually deleted my account a couple of months ago) and Facebook, but not very often at all.  I mostly check for updates and info from TAO.  And fortunately, I haven't been involved in any "off-putting things" on either place.  I've seen some things posted, but nothing has been directed at me or been in response to what I've posted. :)

I once got forced off a board because I hate gay people -- you know, because I didn't like "RENT."

I must be a self-hating Gay then cause I didn't much like it, either.
Add me to that loathsome list.

Thanks to whoever it was last week who pointed out that the third line in "Here I Am, Lord" is "Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.) We're going to be doing that one on Sunday. I will probably laugh.
That was JMK, as I recall, but since I don't read his posts, I could be mistaken.  ;)

I'm doing that  ;)-thing too much today.

Great to wake up to a new video on BlueGobo.com. This one is of Cheyenne Jackson and Kate Baldwin singing "Ol' Devil Moon" from the recent revival of "Finian's Rainbow" that Elmore worked on. Their voices are in great form.

www.bluegobo.com/

They certainly are in great form (I especially enjoy Cheyenne's form ;)), but there's just a bit too much reverb on this clip, if you ask me.

BK, I don't know why you do that to yourself and to your blood pressure.  Every time you go to one of those discussion pages you come away from it extrmely agitated.

Household Hint of the Day:  a dab of Dr Pepper on a paper napkin is all it takes to remove pizza sauce that has been inadvertently smeared on an iPhone screen.

Can one use soy sauce as a substitute if Dr. Pepper is not available?

Back from my annual visit to Dr. Jain, my very young cardiologist.  Of the 3 meds he prescribes for me, I will be able to discontinue one (Plavix) on the 2-year anniversary of my stent (August 4).  And he said my EKG looks like I never had a problem.  All in all, a very satisfying report.

While I was away this afternoon, Richard spent about 15 minutes on the phone with AppleCare and now all of our devices can connect wirelessly.

Yes the SuperBoil is over - I watched the last quarter of the game which was most entertaining.  And of course we here in Indiana are pleased with the result.

Hopefully things - including traffic - will return to normalcy soon.

If anyone missed NBC's Brotherhood of Man; it was pretty darn cute.

As I've also mentioned, the TKAM ranting has almost completely sucked the air out of the All Quiet on the Western Front discussion, which I find somewhat amusing.

Then they are all being Quiet.

JMK - Not sure about the heir on Downton Abbey, but -

You're near 12,500 posts - doesn't that seem to be a round enough figure to qualify as a milestone of some sort?  Your call, of course!

I don't see why. I recently passed 500 posts and no one congratulated me  ;D

I love today's word. I try to get pied every chance I get. May pie be in all your futures.

Oops (or spoo), I guess it's another meaning.  ;)

I thought pied was what happened to everyone at your cocktail expo last week.
