And I'm off to eat a light supper and head for Hamilton - bye for now!

I forgot about The Hudson Brothers.  I mostly remember them from a Saturday morning show....not the animated one....that was pretty funny!

And DR FJL....how about those splits from Mr Bostwick!!!

I watched SMASH online last week....and it was okay.  I might watch it for a few weeks and see how it goes.  It features a major irritant of mine, but there are some things that might overcome that for me.  And the music is okay.....

Wait until next season when Rachel and Kurt are no longer on "Glee"....am sure they will be joining the cast of "Smash"

Excellent, and not a bad idea!  :)

I would prefer a cultural exchange program with DOWNTON ABBEY--in exchange for them getting Shirley MacLaine next season, SMASH should get O'Brien.  The show needs a sneaky villain.

Speaking of DOWNTON ABBEY (and I often do), I received the Season Two DVD at my desk this afternoon.  I just may start watching tonight.

SPOILER WARNING FROM LAST WEEK'S EPISODE ------------

I now understand why they killed off William.  They needed to make room for Shirley MacLaine on the Season 3 DVD cover.  It's a pretty tight squeeze on there...

Last day before surgery and it's a crazy one at work.

But good afternoon, all.

When will you be able to let us know how you are doing?

MEGA SURGERY VIBES!!!!

Thank you, all. I won't be home until Friday. So, I doubt I will get to post before then.

Do you have a friend who can email one of us so we don't worry?

Bitterly cold tonight. Walking back from the train station I felt as if my ears were about to drop off.

DR Jane, I think everybody liked the pasta salad.

I know my sister loved it (she made me leave her the leftovers). I gave my mom some to try yesterday and she also liked it.

The guys ... well they ate it ... but didn't say anything. But i guess if they ate it then they probably liked it.

I gather you will be making this recipe again.

Except that i made it up :)

You didn't write it down‽

Surgery may be delayed a week, and I just found out about it five minutes ago. If it is, it will take hours tonight to unravel this mess.

ME.

Oh dear.....well.......those poor people.  Tuesday usually only has about 8 in the class, so we shall see.

The only Equity Theatre where I do work is doing a fine play starting in mid-February......but one of the actresses is so bad.....I can't stand to hear her talk and her choices are always wrong and she ACTS ACTS ACTS in such an irritating manner, I don't think I will be able to see the show.

I thought I could take a couple of other times, but found myself hating being in the same building with her as she ruined another show.....so I am thinking......but I am not optimistic.

I have read THE MERRY WIVES OF GOTHAM, which takes place in an Irish convent (Prologue) Park Avenue mansion, a law office on 23rd Street, Irish shantytown at 69th and Fifth Avenue, and some place on the lower east side where the gang The Rovers has evil intentions toward the rich pompous ass Lambert DeRhonde. It's a great play for two actresses in their mid to late forties. Tney never do learn they are sisters but they do become mothers-in-law when the poor Irish girl marries the Park Avenue matron's son. I enjoyed it.

So, it's time to bus down to Encores! for MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG now. Report at 11.

DR JohnG, best of luck with the scheduling problem.

After a two year search I finally found the last song for Academy Award song collection. Don't know why I didn't think of it before, but I wrote the composer estate and in a few hours I had not one but 4 versions of the song.

The Cat and The Canary from the movie "Why Girls Leave Home"

The winner that year was "it Might As Well Be Spring" sung by Louanne Hogan. There were 14 nominations that year!
