I enjoyed DR GEORGE's post last night about the porn star.

DR DOUG, my spelling is deteriorating, too. I really have to stop and think how to spell a word sometimes! Most annoying.

RE the microwave, I'd use baking powder, but vinegar makes sense, too. I'm too frugal to use DR Laura's approach, but I can certainly see the merits in it!

Does anyone here know how to remove burnt popcorn smell from a microwave?

Put the microwave out in the alley and send Vixdad to Best Buy to get a new one.

I've been watching the new Netflix exclusive, LILYHAMMER. I tuned in thinking it was a thriller--wasn't it billed as that somewhere??--but it's actually quite amusing. It's available either by streaming or discs. It's about a US mob guy who turns in his boss, then goes into the witness protection program--in Norway.

Also, thanks to DR JOHN G (or whoever it was) for posting the OLD DEVIL MOON cllip. It was quite wonderful! I sent it to a friend who is a FINIAN's fan. I have the CD, but seeing the clip was great.

To those who asked, yes, I believe the new book will be an e book but just not sure how long that all takes.

Back from various and sundried things, including another visit to the book fair.  And now, it's a few hours of entering fixes.

Sorry, DR JMK!  You're not really suggesting that you'd want to be 25 again, are you?

Could use some vibes for this trip.  Mom was so anxious to leave yesterday morning, she didn't listen to me about leaving the suitcase for me to carry, and when she went outside she fell backwards and hit her hip and head on my cement porch and stone pillar.  She screamed and I heard her upstairs in the house.  We were all in shock and mom has a scrape on her head.  Dad wanted to cancel the trip, but mom didn't want to.  I cleaned up the scrape and we went to breakfast to give her another half hour to see if we should go or stay and get her to see a doctor.   Luckily she rebounded well, knew all the answers to the basic questions, had an appetite and wasn't sick to her stomach etc.  I think her body caught most of the fall and she just scraped her head, but she's sore.  Haven't seen her this morning, so I hope she's able to get around today

Healing (and pain-free) vibes for Cilla's mom!

My library is starting a fast reads section. You get a book for 7 days, no renewals. $2/day fine and no reservations. The odd thing is you can only take out 1 book per card.

Not sure exactly what books they will have. The books have not been put out yet. But I did see Lisa Gardner's new book is slated to be there. And I saw James Patterson's new book is gonna be there. Maybe it will just be the most popular authors.

A fine of $2 a day??  Last year (or maybe the year before), our library started charging fines for the first time in its 40+ year history and they were concerned that people would be upset at a fine of 15˘ a day!

This is only for dvds and this new fast reads program. Regular books are i think 25 cents a day.

Congrats to Mary Linda on her employment.

Condolences to DR JOSE on the loss of his friend.  Sad Story.

DR JOSE....are you sure they have called EVERYONE who has been cast in The Music Man?  Because I didn't get a message.  Please remember that I do know all of Mayor Shinn's lines and can step in at a moment's notice.
