I slept late this morning since it's a holiday for me and because we did get home in time to watch Downton Abbey which didn't go until 11pm but 10:35 and then we watched the "behind the scenes" short.

I'm looking forward to Season 3.

The weather is up and down like a yo-yo. One day bitterly cold, next day mild. Today it's back to icy cold. Later in the week it's due to get exceptionally mild.

Good morning, all! Last night was filleed with dreams about Dublin, and I am looking forward to August's recording sessions there.

I hope to finish my taxes today, but the last four categories to be tallied have the largest number of receipts, and I will most likely spend a good deal of time at the computer printing out receipts from Abebooks and Amazon. Even if I don't finish today, I am in great shape for Wednesday's appointment.

First thing this morning, I will run down to Staples and purchase four storage cartons: I need one for my taxes, one for the DEAREST ENEMY proofs, and a couple for sending things to the Miami University Library.

More coffee!

No DR TCB....the modify button is separate from the little pencil and pad in the body of your post....  If you use the pencil and pad your screen looks very different when you edit......you stay on the posting page.

I have liked all of the Presidents in my lifetime except ONE.

Historically I like the Founding Fathers......and that's about it.....maybe Lincoln.....

It seems the writer of Downton Abbey also has a PBS "Titanic" series that has been filmed but not yet shown.

Monday morning greetings!  Another sunny, but cold, day here in SW Ohio.  I have the day to putter before going to my knitting shop for a computer class about Ravelry, the website where knitters hang out.

I was hoping it was a class appreciating Maurice Ravel!

Staples was nearly empty, but so is Broadway; it's like a Sunday morning or the day of a heavy snowfall. I bought everything I needed, so I have no option but to begin work.

I've only liked the Democrat presidents since I started voting around 1970. My mother's family is part of Abraham Lincoln's family, so I guess he's my favorite, and I have great admiration for him. Although he was a Republican, I doubt he'd recognize the party or the god-fearing, narrowminded and mentally challenged candidates running under that banner at present.

Well, the shop does have classical music playing in the background...

TOD - I have always had a fascination with John and Abigail Adams.  In fact, I'm quite interested in First Ladies and have read biographies of many of them.

TOD:

Though I continually learn things about him that should make me dislike him, FDR is still my favorite President.  I guess it has to do with growing up hearing his praises from my parents.
