Ready or not, it is.

I think I have the stamina. Whether I have the focus is another matter.

How many Presidents have been mentioned in show tune lyrics?

Mr. Adams,
But Mr. Adams...

"We'd like to thank you, Herbert Hoover..."

LBJ took the IRT...

I am assuming there must be a few mentioned in ASSASSINS.
And maybe even one or two in "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."

Last night, as I was drifting off to sleep, I started thinking how nice it was to have a three-day weekend.  Then I realized that I actually have a seven-day weekend, every week.  I am still not adjusted to that.

The L.A. Times had a nice photo spread on Carnival in Rio. They're wearing more these days than when I was down there, but the images and the colors and beauty are no less impressive.

Unless the gym is closed I don't feel like it is a holiday.

DR TCB better on a beautiful woman than an ugly one ;)   I find writing exceptionally distracting.

I'm not a big fan of it, either. Maybe that's why the costumes cover so much this year. It's not flesh, it's ink that's being hidden.

Or maybe it's just that the newspaper did run a full array of images. Only that which was fit to print.

Yeah, my supervisor knows I'm going to take it at the pace I need to. And he's been great to work for, so I think I can do that for a few days.

Good!!  Be careful not to overdo it at first or you might set your recovery back.

TOD:

I can't decide. It's either Raymond Massey or Henry Fonda.

My vote is for Morgan Freeman. :D

I've started watching the 1970's PBS series "Upstairs/Downstairs"  While it's no "Downton Abbey", it's quite good.  And there are many season.  But will it hold me until Fall?  LOL

If you've never seen the "DOWNTOWN ABBY / UPTOWN ANN LANDERS" theme song on YouTube, that could fill 80 seconds of the void . :) :)

No DR TCB....the modify button is separate from the little pencil and pad in the body of your post....  If you use the pencil and pad your screen looks very different when you edit......you stay on the posting page.

I guess I had seen it, but never really noticed it or wondered what it did.  Very interesting!

Growing up Abraham Lincoln was my hero.

Or as the twitter feed from one of the NY Times arts editors says, these days he's called "Abraham LIN-coln"

Oh wait, I guess that's been told here already.
