As noted in the notes, the new book is available for pre-order - we'll ship no later than the third week of April, but probably sooner.  The first twenty-five orders will get a little something special.  Signed hardcovers via the site are a bit cheaper than the book will be at other online venues.  For those who like softcover, it will be on amazon at some point in the next few days.  And the eBook should also be available, although that will take a bit longer.  Of course, I like the hardcover best - it feels like a real book :)  So, to do what need be done, just go to www.kritzerland.com - the book is on the home page.

Good morning, all! I crawled into bed last night at 8pm and slept until 5:30am. I am moving about, feeling awake (sort of), and ready to head to Baltimore. I will leave here around 7:15, and head for Penn Station. The research won't take me long, i don't believe, since I'm only looking at theatre programs to verify songs and who performed them. I did ask to see a box of clippings, so we'll see if I learn anything from that.

Last night I had more strange dreams, including one about a sojourn in the Hamptons and being asked by Al Collins, who retired from the Drama Book Shop around 1983, to deliver a book to Ted Chapin. I got back to 79th Street and there was a carnival of some sort going on, and that's about all I remember now about the dream.

I have no other news. I have to make the bed, get some breakfast, and get out.

Morning all!  I went to bed early also.  I just had a wave of tiredness hit me out of no where.  I hate it when I get that feeling that if I don't lay down, I'll fall down.  I would have to work the "late" shift this week of all weeks.  A half hour may not seem like much but it snowballs.  You have to catch the late bus, the traffic is heavier so you don't get home until later.  By the time you make dinner it's later, etc, etc.

Oy!

I'm sure the room will be big enough for the washer and drier.  I know Mr. Cooper will want to see them in their new home. :)

Gotta scoot.  Have a great day everyone!

My question for ASK BK DAY - do you think The Brain From Planet X would have been licensed if you had not done the production at the NYMF?

I just realized I was a "producer" of that production as well as the Blu Ray of The First Nudie Musical.   I should add that info to my bio.

Wednesday morning greetings!  After being away all day and all evening yesterday, I was really looking forward to a day at home.  Now, not so much, because we have no running water, thanks to the rotting infrastructure in our neighborhood  :P

Richard just phoned someone in the city water department and found out that a valve is being replaced a block away and our water should be off for a couple of hours.  You'd think, in the communications age, they could have warned us ahead of time.  Good thing we keep gallon jugs of water on hand...

Book ordered, but LOL'd when I went to the site and saw the multi-spines on the cover, after BK's rant about the mini-spine on the proof.  It's now a multi-volume tome.  ;)

Today's Short Featured Play set in the world of Publishing:

AuthorHouse Worker 1:  OMG, that Kimmel guy is bitching about the spine on the proof.

AuthorHouse Worker 2:  Well, we have to fix it, what should we do?

AuthorHouse Worker 1 (panicked):  I don't know, I don't know--wait!  Let's just cut and paste the spine over and over again until it's thick enough.

AuthorHouse Worker 2:  Do you think he'll notice?

AuthorHouse Worker 1:  No way!
