Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland 20, and now it is time for you to post until the Broadway Bound cows come home.

I hate it when I don't receive any mail, as today. Even an advertising mail-shot would be better than nothing.

I'm taking Daisy for an outing today. It's time for her annual check-up and vaccination.

Good morning, all!  Good news about the show, BK!

I met Lainie Kazan when she, Bette Midler, Lypsinka, Patti Lupone, and Elaine Stritch did an Ethel Merman night staged by Jerry Mitchell for the Gay Men's Health Crisis. I scored the overture and "You're Just In Love" for Stritch and the Plaids. I liked Miss Kazan quite a lot. I haven't seen her since then, so I'm glad she's still around.

In about rwenty minutes I'm walking to the Post Office to mail these two vocal scores for DEAREST ENEMY, at 10:00 I have a telephonic conversation with one of my DEARST ENEMY boys about the horrendous vocal arrangement for "Cheerio!" ad then I will call conductor John Wilson, who's in New York this week, to see if we can plan a coffee date. Then I will call the pharmacy for more meds, and that's hopefully the extent of myv telephonic conversations for a while.

Tonight I'm having dinner with my friend Joseph Rubin, so I need to start proofreading Victor Herbert's "The Only Girl" to appease him, since DEAREST ENEMY has prevented me from beginning work on it with him.

TOD

How about something from one of your (I think) favorite people:
HEARTBEATS – Amanda Mc Broom

Or another Kimmel pair:
THE GRASS HARP or NIGHT OF THE HUNTER

Two of my personal favorites:
“Measure the Valleys” from RAISIN
“Close Upon the Hour” from KING OF HEARTS

For Ed Kleban’s music plus lyrics A CLASS ACT

For novelty:
BAT BOY – “Ugly Boy”, “Inside Your Heart”
GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL (“Flushed Down the Pipes’)

Of couRse, if you're willing to go for one hit wonders, you can pick from:

SECRECT GARDEN
1776
ROCKY HORROR PICTUER SHOW
GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN
BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS

(MAybe not the best choices, but maybe will get  you other's thinking)

FOR DR Jane or anyone who has a goodreads account:

It seems quite easy to opt out of getting friends updates.  Do you see where your pic is in the top right corner. There is an arrow beside it. When you click on that you can click on "help". There are specific instructions on how to opt out. Looks pretty easy.

How do I opt-out of friend update emails?

1) Go to your "edit profile" page.

2) Select the "emails" tab.

3) At the top of the page, find the option titled: "Email me new reviews from friends".

4) Select the option for "never".

5) Scroll down until you see "save email settings", and click that button to save your changes.

TOD:

THE GRASS HARP has some great songs in it, as does MACK AND MABEL.

Also like a sing from PIPE DREAM, "Everybody's Got a Home But Me".

And, there are a couple of songs in THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE that I really like.

TOD:

I'll second the mention of the score for "Grass Harp"

the score for "Romance/Romance"

"Take Me Down" from a score by Danny Troob and Jamie Donnelly

"Welcome to My Party" from La Chiusa's "The Wild Party."

"These Eyes of Mine" from "Grind"

It's too early on a Monday to remember more.

Monday morning greetings!  I had a much better night last night and slept until about 9 this morning.  I'm doing some puttering and will soon take my basement walk and get ready for my doctor's appointment.

I've heard from John Wilson, whom I'll meet around 3 this afternoon. He's currently visiting Ricard Rodney Bennett, who lives about two blocks from me. I have time to hit the pharmacy and pick up my meds.
