Page 3??  Wow

Let's stir up some interest:

Hey Mike Barnum - any Easter Bunnies in your S&P colletion?

der Brucer

No easter bunnies.... An "egg and baby chick" set that I just bought at Shopko and an "easter egg" set that I bought some years ago, but that is about it for this holiday, I think.

Would you believe I have a friend in Orange County, California who has never seen snow?  Having grown up in Buffalo, it's hard for me to fathom.

Having grown up in So. California it is hard for me to fathom.  You can drive up to the snow, play for a few hours and return home.

Me either.  I think it is just a special effect that northern people put in their photos.  Sugar or flour, can't make up my mind.  :)

Considering how many times I've been the the New City of York in March and February and it never showed up.  It was cold.  I'll grant you that but no white stuff flying in the air or on the ground.

Vibes for DR TCB, Dan (the Man) and his Mother!

Gotta scoot.  Have a good evening all!

I'm pretty sure it is instant mashed potato flakes.

Has anyone here seen "The Addams Family" on Broadway?

Thoughts?

It's not as bad as they say it was. It's not great and I don't know who they have cast in the leads but there are some well done moments. Nathan Lane was excellent but he's not doing the tour. The music is OK, nothing special but the opening number

When You're An Addams

was a lot of fun.

This is the clip from the Letterman show.

I saw "The Addams Family" and wasn't too impressed, but I've heard that changes have been made and it's doing pretty well on the road.  And Douglas Sills is now starring --I'd like to see him as Gomez.  So when it comes to Washington, I may see it again.

I actually really liked Memphis. It got mixed reviews but it worked for me. Montego Glover was robbed of a Tony for Best Actress, IMHO. She's still in the Broadway show so if you see Memphis, you won't see her.

I haven't seen Sister Act so I can't comment but the Brits love it. My friend in Middlesbrough plays it on her radio show frequently.

Of course, I did not pay full price for Addams Family and I got a free ticket for Memphis. I know the prices for road tours are getting to be as outrageous as Broadway prices so if you're going to pay $90 for Addams you might not like it so much.

I found little Lindsay Ridgeway, star of Ruthless and performer on any number of my albums, on Facebook.  She's got to be in her late 20s  by now, I should think.

I've liked Douglas Sills on the recordings of his that I have.

I saw the pre-Broadway run of Memphis in Seattle and really enjoyed it.

I saw "Memphis" at the movie theaters and it was well acted and enjoyable, but I wanted more. I bought the DVD but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

I think "Sister Act" would be a crowd pleaser. Not mentally taxing but a lot of fun.
