What a nice party for your mom, Cillaliz. And, yes, what a great shot!

DR John G, I bought a small (read $50) Dyson-style vacuum at Bed, Bath & Beyond a while back, which really does a great job! I didn't expect much for that price, but was pleasantly surprised. Vibes you find a new vac that you're happy with.

DR JMK, did you check Haley's Hints for the red wine stains? Their solution for ink marks have saved me many times.

It's very warm here today, 80 degrees. But there's a nice breeze, too.

I had a productive day doing things around the apartment, but I'm pooped now.

Have a good rest of the weekend, everyone.

Does anyone here know VixGram's first name?  I'd like to put her on the prayer list at church.

My nieces made out with tons of Easter loot at the Sedar! :)

It's too funny that 3 different people brought them Easter bags. Instead of being presenting with money for hiding the matzah they were presented with Easter baskets. It was too funny.

John G., thanks for the herbal advice. Mae-Ling always opens my cupboard to see what I have in there. I am trying to get her to understand that I have fresh herbs growing, instead of needing to use dried.

We made chicken and zucchini and yellow squash. She used parsley, thyme, and rosemary (she loves rosemary). Plus Wae-Ling made rissotto.

Sadly, they gave the kids jelly beans and other junk at the church, so they didn't eat much.
I'd eat jelly beans over risotto if I were six or seven.

Thanks. I ended up with a Hoover from Target. The dead one was a Hoover, so here's hoping this one works. I really needed to finish up the house, so it was off to the store for a replacement.

Taking a break to grab some food and watch an episode of "Tanner '88." I still want Jack Tanner to win.

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong in the universe.  Betsy has just beat me twice in a row at Scrabble.  ;)

On January 30, 2012, the topic of the day was our all-time favorite William Holden movies, Kim Novak movies, and Rosalind Russell movies.  I said that I hadn't seen "Picnic" and I added it to my Neflix queue.  It just arrived today and I'm sort of watching it.  This DVD is the only one available and it's pan-and-scan. :P

Done with the Triduum - kinda - well, the big stuff is over.  Tomorrow is just over crowded Liturgies and an Easter Bunny.  It's all I can do to get through them.  Tonight was awesome, though.  The best every year.

Topic of the Day...these are what I can think of.  I'm sure that there are others:

Andrew Lloyd Webber - The Royal Albert Hall Celebration (actually, this doesn't count. I made my own CD from the DVD...but it sounds very good)

Follies in Concert
Hey, Mr. Producer
Jerry Springer: The Opera
The Manhattan Transfer "The Manhattan Transfer Live" (1978)
The Manhattan Transfer "Live" (1987)
The Manhattan Transfer "Man Tora! Live In Tokyo"
Les Misérables - The 10th anniversary concert
Bernadette Peters - "Sondheim Etc." and "Sondheim Etc. Etc."
Simply Sondheim: A 75th Birthday Salute
Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall
Donna Summer - "Live and More"

Just about any of the STAGE recordings.
