We had a very nice seder last night with our new neighbors, with one exception.  An EEEEVVVIIIL glass of red wine literally catapulted itself across the table, spraying wine all over our cloth upholstered chairs and carpet (why anyone carpeted a dining room is anyone's guess).  I got it out of the carpet for the most part, the chairs are another matter.

I find it somewhat nonsensical that you need to know where someone lived to search the 1940 Census.  If you know about them, why would you be searching for them?

We are headed about 30 minutes north of Lima to Ottawa, OH, for lunch with our niece Rev. Amy and her family.  Looking forward to seeing them!

There is a very nice circa 1972 album of Sergio at the Greek Theater (called the Greek Carnival for reasons I know not) that has some gorgeous stuff on it.  He's backed by a full orchestra which reproduces those stunning Grusin orchestrations, and it's one of only two albums he did with Geri Stevens (AKA Dodie "Pink Shoelaces" Stevens) as his lead vocalist, and she sounds MAH-velous.

It's one of very few Sergio albums that hasn't been released on CD, hint, hint, nudge, nudge say n'more.

Visited the mall where I bought a gift and card for my sister's birthday. While there, I had a mid-morning snack of a small chicken caesar with bacon on artisan bread at Prets.

Morning all--well what's left of it.  What is this that I keep reading about people (myself included) can't sleep.  I was up at two and watched TV until five then slept till ten.   Now I feel out of it.

So, Elmore, did you get to see "Once" again? How many times have you seen it?

Only twice. I'd love to see Ben this week but i have no money until after April 15. Damned government.

I'm up after a paltry four hours of sleep.  My tummy was queasy, but thankfully I had two Tums left and they did the trick, but I didn't fall asleep until four.

Oh, I'm sorry about the wine everywhere.  I know people who NEVER serve red wine just for that reason.

She of the Evil Eye has arrived and I shall soon be on my way to storage, even though that's not really high on my list of places where I'd like to be.  Then I'll eat, then hopefully pick up packages, then come home and hopefully by that time David Galligan will have listened to the ALW mixes.

There is one rather specious gentleman in the world of cabaret.  He posts five times a day on a cabaret Facebook page, the same post over and over, for whatever show or shows he's doing.  On his latest "flyer" he mentions a performer as "Broadway's" so and so.  Oh?  Funny, as that performer has never stepped foot on a Broadway stage.  What is this obsession with always putting something in parens after a performer's name - if we know who they are we'll know who they are, and if we don't no amount of lying or regional credits will help us know who they are.  It's yet another thing "borrowed" from movie press releases that should stop immediately.

MyHeritage has already started indexing them by name.  One county in Rhode Island is already searchable LOL.

I'll begin with the best news from DR TCB's friend Sharry:

he just seems so pleased to be out of pain and to feel his limb come alive again.

he looked fantastic...better than I have seen in months.  He's not needing much in the way of pain control and his appetite is decent.

TCB was supposed to have admitted to the hospital rehab, but his insurance doesn't cover that part of the treatment in that facility.  So the admin office secured him a spot in a place that does.  It is supposed to be top notch place.

At the end of the day no move had been made, so Tom will be at the hospital through the weekend.  Sharry thinks he was a bit disappointed as he is ready to get started with his therapy.

Well in my continuing effort to catch up on CDs stretching back eons, I finally listened to BOOK OF MORMON today.  Having grown up in SLC, I found it wonderfully accurate but suprisingly touching.

I'm a bit disappointed that, unlike my other other one person plays, there has been little interest shown in Maurice Chevalier. Aside from the fact that I'd like people to read and/or perform the play, which (I think) is one of the best I've done, it's sad that this wonderful entertainer seems to have been virtually forgotten.

Chevalier always brought a smile to your face.

Fame is so fleeting.
