We watched My Sister Eileen last night.It's the 1955 musical version of the stories. It stars Betty Garret, Janet Leigh and Jack Lemmon. It's OK but it's not remotely Jule Styne's best work (IMHO). There are some great dance sequences with Bob Fosse and Tommy Krall but the movie is just OK

Or else do what I did when I found a green heron fishing in mine. I got bird netting and covered the pond. I used cement blocks (left over from building the block fence) to ring the pond and let the netting catch on the rough edges. Make it tight so the bird doesn't stand on it and sag down to the water.Oh -- and sit outside with the hose all day and squirt at the heron until it gives up and leaves.
Watching PIGSKIN PARADE this morning and enjoying the antics and songs of the Yacht Club Boys very much.
DR der Brucer: Thank you for the excellent suggestion of putting the giant stingray in my sister's pond to keep the heron away. Unfortunately I don't think it will fit in. The heron paid a return visit and polished off the remaining lone goldfish - I'm beginning to think that the fish I take her tomorrow are simply going to be more heron food - but apparently she is taking precautions (something about a shotgun).
