Thursday afternoon greetings!  We checked out and left our luggage at the hotel and walked over to the Hudson River to see the ships that are in for Fleet Week.  Now we're on our way back to Times Square to get our bags and a taxi to Penn Station.  In a couple of hours we'll be on the train to DC.

Well, I just got an offer to write the Zagat book to San Antonio nightlife. Only problems: I don't know the scene, I don't go out to clubs, I don't have time (June 13 is when they want the first part of the book done) and I'm contractually prohibited from writing for another guidebook series. Plus, the pay ain't so great.

Still, it's nice to be asked.

I am really moving slowly today. I am quite lethargic and I'm having a difficult time with motivation and concentration. I am not happy. I feel like I need a 48-hour nap.
