I've been up since ten, I think - nine hours of sleep, a good thing.   A couple of annoying e-mails to deal with - minor, but annoying nonetheless, but have dealt with them.

Prepare to hyperventilate, MBarnum Department:

A new film by Ross Patterson, 'FDR: American Badass,' starring Barry Bostwick and Kevin Sorbo, will be available on DVD and VOD this September 25, 2012 from Screen Media.  'FDR: American Badass' is a slapstick comedy that has the 32nd President of the United States riding a ‘wheelchair of death’ to stop the world from werewolves who carry the polio virus, including werewolf versions of Hitler, Mussolini, and Emperor Hirohito.

Ann Rutherford has died.

Wow!  How old was she?  She co-starred with Frances in BADLANDS OF DAKOTA.

Weren't the Fairie Pipers the boys singing behind Rosemary Clooney?

Her actual birth year was 1917, although many bios are saying 1920.

Ann Rutherford has died.
Loved her in "Orchestra Wives." Of course, Glenn Miller and the Nicholas Brothers also helped in that one.

Topic of the Day (the best in alphabetical order):

Andrew Lloyd Webber: The Royal Albert Hall Celebration

Hey, Mr. Producer

The 10th anniversary concert performance of Les Misérables (I have the 25th anniversary concert, but I haven't watched it yet)

Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall (a friend of mine said that the COMPLETE show was released on laserdisc...has anyone ever heard this or knows if it's true??)

Those are what I can think of right now. :)

I don't believe the complete show has every been released in any form which is a shame. If memory serves it was taped in its entirity.

So even the CD of the Sondheim Celebration isn't complete??

Today I get to impersonate Ginny.

One of my "goals" for 2012 is to work in the library for 6 hours. Today is my first session. I will be in the Foundation Center Library (with a trained librarian) from 11 to 1 assisting the patrons as they come in to use our resources. I don't have a clue how it will go but I'm working with a nice woman and I will let her take the lead.

Break a leg, Ben!! ;D

Yes ;) I tried to put my hair in a bun but I don't have enough left.

All in good fun, Ginny. I love Librarians (you too, George)

I believe that is complete.  At least when it was first released it was a double CD, there have been re-issues like a highlight CD, etc.

The DP and I are going to Munich for a week in August.  Four days after our return, I'm heading to Walt Disney World to practice my guru skills on a teacher I work with and her 2 kids and mom.  In the meantime, I have to work in order to afford to go!!!

My mistake!  The Carol Burnett specials aren't being released today but on August 28th.  They're available for pre-order, though...
