Is that for more water or less water, Jane?

For the flood outside that has forced us to turn all the water off, inside and out.  I'm about to go see if Keith was able to stop it at the source.  Understandably he is rather cranky at the moment.  Digging up plumbing isn't fun.

Be careful that you don't ask any dumb questions!

Do you mean something like, "Honey?  You do know you'll need to wipe your feet before you come in, don't you?"

Too late, I already blew it when he was outside trying to cope ;)

Keith cleans up after himself so he doesn't have to wipe his feet if he doesn't want too.

I'm pleased to say I was mistaken, only the outside water is turned off.

I hope some one returns Keith's call & can come out tomorrow to fix it.  Without rain or irrigation the lawn & plants won't do very well.

Doing some busywork, which is annoying, but I'm now done with it.

Dusty Towne....now there's a talent!

I saw Dusty Rhodes play baseball here in Tacoma in the late 50s.

Dusty would have made a fantastic Margo.
That's wonderful.

Prepare to hyperventilate, MBarnum Department:

A new film by Ross Patterson, 'FDR: American Badass,' starring Barry Bostwick and Kevin Sorbo, will be available on DVD and VOD this September 25, 2012 from Screen Media.  'FDR: American Badass' is a slapstick comedy that has the 32nd President of the United States riding a ‘wheelchair of death’ to stop the world from werewolves who carry the polio virus, including werewolf versions of Hitler, Mussolini, and Emperor Hirohito.

Oh, my...this could either be very funny or absolutely horrible.

I must say, I really don't want to go to this thing tonight, but I said yes and I guess I must.  It's excerpts from two musicals - one is Inside Out, which of course I already know and have seen, and the other is a new musical version of - wait for it - Hazel.  Since my friends are involved I'll just say I think this is an awful idea for a musical and so I'll be interested to see the point of it.

Umm...good luck.  Hope it's at least sort of worth it.

I'm off, too.  Tonight will be a Titus production meeting and then a TAO board of directors' meeting.

Until later!

Zach's Language Arts teacher, who is incredibly cool, held a "coffee house" today where all the kids read their poetry.  He started it out with this amazing video.

I ordered a CD yesterday from CD Baby and got this amusing email:

Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing. Our world-renowned packing specialist lit a local artisan candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, June 11, 2012.

We hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. In commemoration, we have placed your picture on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sigh...
We miss you already. We'll be right here at http://cdbaby.com/, patiently awaiting your return.

OK. So, it's not "My Mother the Car." But, geez. Perhaps Debra Messing will be Hazel. That would certainly make it worthwhile.

My fridge/freezer saga drags on. The insurance company have agreed a replacement product and the suppliers will phone within 48 hours to let me know when delivery can be made.

Doug, you have a service contract on the fridge/freezer or is it a warranty? We usually have warranties. Whatever it is, sheesh! I'm glad you're finally getting a new one!

TOD

I've never been one for television specials, but the one that I do remember aired back n the 1950s...and I don't believe it's available on home video.

I don't even recall the exact name of it (Ford?), but it featured a terrific duet with Ethel Merman and Mary Martin.

It was broadcast in 1953 and it was the Ford 50th Anniversary Television Show

Boy, DR Ben sure has a good memory!
