I only saw the end of WOMAN IN HIDING on TCM - but it seems like two people got tossed into some kind of grinding machine at a factory.......  OUCH!

And just like in SUDDEN FEAR - the two leading ladies were wearing almost identical clothes, making the mistaken demise even more bizarre.....if only someone had worn a sweater of a different color......   B/W movie....but you know what I mean.

But it was still better than LURE OF THE SWAMP, I must say.....even though there was no quicksand in WOMAN IN HIDING.

Check engine lights are the worst.  Not because they necessarily mean horrible news, but because in so many cases...you don't have any idea what it means!

A co-worker of mine told me that a local (to him) auto shop place told him that it would cost $200 JUST to hook the engine up to the computer that could tell them why the check engine light came on! And that's not them doing anything other than having the computer read the car's chip.

Yes indeed it is DR GEORGE.  I am very happy.....hopefully it will get me there and back in short order.

I am leaving now for rehearsal so that I can get the rest of the furniture and set dressing onstage before the cast arrives.....

I think I saw all of these programers at the Orpheum Theater in Seattle when they were first released.

Making allowing for its low budget, I enjoyed seeing it as something a bit out of the routine, even though the film doesn’t have much resemblance to the colorful poster! I always like seeing bad people come to a sticky end in quicksand. Nice melodic music score.

So, this Previn score is great.  I've never seen the film, but I wanted to branch out on what little Previn I know -- which off the top of my head, is limited to DEAD RINGER as far as original scores go.  This is lovely indeed.  Some great cocktail music here, and I mean that in a good way.

Correction -- there are several films he scored that of course I know and love.  I just don't remember them for their music.  Will listen better in the future.

Last night the fireworks were really nice. Went swimming today. It is supposed to get quite humid this week.
