Speaking of Turkey Lurkey Time, I find it hard to believe that a better version of the Tony Awards segment has yet to be posted on YouTube. I love to watch the existing clip from time to time but its so frustrating at the same time. I hope that there is a clear copy existing somewhere that will release for viewing someday...

Oh wow, I miss a few days in a row for the first time in a very long time ( I'm very sorry) but it looks like I missed such an eventful few days. i will try to catch up without overlooking much that's important.

My mind has been elsewhere, including hopes for some friends who are working on projects that i hope do well, none that we have anything whatsoever to do with, but we are still holding out hopes for our friends because we know how hard they have worked for years - but the people who go to see them QUITE CORRECTLY AND PROPERLY feel their admission price gives them the right to totally have at them. And of course, that is the contract between creative people and audiences, that if creators put work out into the world, the audiences may have at it with full force - but that doesn't make it easier when the creators are friends you care about.

There's a version from the Ed Sullivan show that's of better quality, but you don't get Donna, Margo or Bayork dancing it.

I also like the version that's in the movie Camp.

The AC guy was here and gone. He showed me the old pan. Made of plastic of course and it had a giant split in it. No way you couldn't see it so whoever installed it knew what they did at the time.

All should be well from now on! i'm so grateful for 3 H's help!

I just got off the phone with 85 year-old Vincent Youmans II, son of the composer. I spent the morning tracking down the family via Cast Recording List and the Library of Congress. I have two library boxes of original NO NO NANETTE materials that John McGlinn "borrowed" and refused to return nearly 30 years ago. I came across the storage boxes yesterday while sorting through the moved materials and I want to return them to the family in the next couple of weeks, as soon as the office is more set up.

Do not rush this wonderful book. I have read it twice and recommend it over & over again to people. On the second reading I appreciated the book twice as much.

I'm at the halfway mark and think it is amazing. My nephew recommended it to me. Outside of the sci-fi stuff, I may have to start listening to him.

Marla Gibbs is still alive, but she was not considered an original cast member of The Jeffersons. Although she was in the first episode she only appeared in ten episodes during the first two seasons and became a regular in the third season.

Thanks for explaining that. I thought of her as an original.

CDs are being boxed. And yes, we are never taking anything to the Studio City post office again. They'll either go to North Hollywood (the main station), Burbank, or Glendale - I am opting for the latter because it's a very big station.

I still remember Lilly Tomlin walking off the Dick Cavett show because of the way Everett referred to his wife. Yes, it was chauvinist, but not so horrible for the times. Chad apologized and wanted to demonstrate his love for his wife by reading a poem which I found rather touching. I thought it was very rude of Tomlin for not giving him a chance, and of course extremely rude t o Cavett. Obviously, IMHO, she was wrong about him and missed out on an opportunity for an interesting discussion.
