Keith is outside talking to a landscape designer while she is taking photos of our current landscaping.  Watching Keith explain his goals for the landscaping I'm reminded of the scene in MR BLANDING'S BUILDING HIS DREAM HOUSE of Myrna Loy explaining the exact colors she wants for the house and then the painter's response to his workmen. ;D

If there is anyone who has not seen this movie you should remedy your error immediately.

Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And I took  my bike out for a nice up and down Park Avenue today. I logged about 12 miles. Probably more since I kept looping back to check out some of the booths set up for NYC's Summer Streets. :)

And I am home from Toyland!

My Region 2 DVD of THE COMPANY OF WOLVES arrived today, and I may watch it  and all of the special features tonight.

I also got a nice email from Rachel, my beautiful young mezzo-soprano who will play Jane Murray on the recording next week, with questions on the role. Seven days and counting!

Hello, everyone.

The news here is that I've now had two migraines in the last two weeks or so--after not having had one for 25 years or more! Ugh! The last one was a doozy, with a few weird and distressing symptoms on top of the usual visual disturbances and pain. I saw two doctors. The first stated he doesn't know what's causing it. The second one, my acupuncturist, has an idea and is treating me, but we will have to keep an eye on it. I'm still recovering and reading is a bit difficult at times.

On the positive side, I purchased a new form of magnesium called Neuro-Mag (manufactured by Life Extension) a month or so ago. It REALLY helps with migraines! It took me a little while to think of taking it during the first migraine, but I took it right away during the second one. The blind spots went away more quickly, the headache came on more slowly and wasn't as severe as usual. Highly recommended. Of course, if you know how NOT to get migraines in the first place, please tell me!

i think I am going to try and convince Vixdad to become a Mormon --- we need a couple of extra wives around here

That is one solution that probably wouldn't have occurred to me!

DR vixmom - Have you considered hiring some sort of errand/cleaning service for a couple of hours?

In the meantime, don't forget to breathe.

6:44 AM and I'm home with Bonnie.  I didn't have any trouble sleeping.  I parked Bonnie beside the tech's car so the bad window was facing his car.  I also stopped off at the dollar store and bought a plastic drop cloth so no rain go in the window.

I'm tired now.  I was woke up at least 3 times for the test.  First without the mask where it was determined that I really DO need it because I stopped breathing several times.  Duh.
The 2nd phase to put the mask on.
The 3rd phase to put a chin strap on me.
The 4th phase to send me on my merry way.

Not very good news I'm afraid.  I went from 12 lbs pressure to 14.5  along with now needing the chin strap.

Well, I'm going to go lay down after I wash the goop from my hair.  I have to think about what I'm going to do about that window.

Next question dealership or repair shop?  I'm thinking repair shop I can walk home from there.   Opinions?

Danise, lucky you to have a repair shop within walking distance! I would check their reviews on the Internet, and if they look OK, give them a try. I agree with Vixmom that the dealerships are more expensive. Plus, at a repair shop repairs are ALL they do, so they need to do a good job to stay in business. The dealer might just send you to a body shop.

And now I must get ready for work, since it is a Saturday.

Before I go, it is my duty to report that Rose is now named Precious.  She got a clean bill of health from the Vet yesterday.  She is five years old, has NO chip, no heartworm, her shots are now all up to date.  She had a bath before her Vet visit, and is taking some itching pills....I guess they are NON itching pills.

And she seems to be liking her new home.

IT is VERY NICE to have her meet me at the door when I come home.

She looks like an adorable doggie. It sounds like an ideal match.

I have a virtual dog on my desktop, but that's not the same!

Thank you all for the vibes. I suspect the elevator will be back in service on Tuesday or late Monday afternoon. As for the AC, I suspect they will take it out of the wall and depart with it on Wednesday. I'll see it, if I'm lucky, sometime between January and May.

Sorry i hope you feel better. I think one of the tricks for migraines is taking your migraine pill before the migraine starts. Although sometimes it is hard to tell when you start to get a headache (if it's going to be a migraine or a headache).

I think I've only had like 3 or 4 migraines in my life. I have a prescription for fiorinol.

Watching "White Palace" for the first time. I find it funny that the political talk from this 1980s movie is about the deficit.

Did a two-mile jog, picked up a package and an important envelope, did some banking, and am now awaiting the arrival of singers and MD.
