I now have a new air conditioner with a remote  contol!

Now he'll never leave the house!

:)

I never heard of a remote control for air conditioning.  Don't lose it. :)

I've not been to the falls.  I really missed out.

Tonight's viewing is "Citizen X," a serial killer drama with Stephen Rea and Donald Sutherland.

Loved "Citizen X." Elmore, if you haven't seen it, Rea is really good.

Good Evening!

And... I did end up going out for dinner. A couple of friends in NYC had recommended/strongly urged me to go to Sitka & Spruce. It's one of those farm-to-table, locavore places which, frankly, I've been to enough of in NYC and other places, so... However, since I had been wanting to check out Melrose Market, I went ahead and biked over, checked out the menu, then eventually grabbed a seat along the wall of windows.

It was not only a truly delicious and simple meal, but it was also one of the most beautiful ones I've ever had. And having dinner while the sun set outside the windows truly added to the ambiance of the evening.

And here's what I had for dinner:

"our sourdough baked at The Corson Building in Georgetown with soft butter"
"Puget Sound silver smelt with parsley & preserved lemon"
"air-dried ham, summer melons, fushimi & shishito peppers"
"gateau Basque with amaretto huckleberries & almonds"
