And...

Since I'm been getting up between 6:30am and 7:30am in order to leave before the main crush of the morning rush hour... And since I kind of want to head in even a little bit earlier tomorrow in order to take a bike ride around West Potomac Park...

Goodnight.

And the main course: Monkfish schnitzel. And, yes, it tasted like schnitzel, as opposed to fried fish.

or swiss cheese

or muenster

No pink burgers EVER!! :P

TOD

Hvae no idea where or when I had my first burger

Ditto.  It probably was one that my mom made...a typical, small German burger that has the ground beef mixed with bread crumbs, an egg and parsley.  I love my mom, but even as a kid I knew that she always overcooked them.  I never liked them...even if they weren't overcooked.

DR Jane (or any other DRs), I know you use your nook mostly now, but what did you used to do if your book's print was too small to comfortably read?

It's book 2 and i really want to read it. This is the only series i've ever had a problem with. Sometimes they fonts are a bit smaller but i've never seen anything like this. And it's making me crazy.

I ended up getting the first 3 chapters as a sample at amazon.com so i could read that part comfortably.

I really don't understand why anyone printing a book would do this. :(

I take it that the font size isn't adjustable in the book...or do you not know if it's adjustable?  The font size for almost all the books for my Kindle can be adjusted.  You just have to find the settings.

It's almost 8:00 and I must leave work and go home and watch some TV...and eat some dinner...and pet my cat (that's not a euphemism ;)).  Yes, I have a full evening planned.

Anyway, I'm off.  Be back later.

Thanks, guys.  Is I LOVE THE NIGHTLIFE a song people remember?

I remember that. :)

Gloria Gaynor?

No, Alicia Bridges.  Gloria Gaynor sang "I Will Survive."  Same era, though. :)

I love Gloria Gaynor.  That was Mitzi's daughter wasn't it?

There used to be  a Fuddruckers  that we used to go to that served amazing burgers  but they left long ago

We used to have one in Fargo that was really good also.

Another hamburger joint that was good in Grand Forks was Toppers. They had some hamburger toppings that were quite creative

I got to boogie on the disco 'round, oh yea

Please don't talk about love tonight
Please don't talk about sweet love
Please don't talk about being true
And all the trouble we've been through
Ah, please don't talk about all of the plans
We had for fixin' this broken romance
I want to go where the people dance
I want some action
I want to live
Action, I got so much to give
I want to give it
I want to get some too

Ooooh I, I love the nightlife
I got to boogie
On the disco 'round, oh yea
Oh, I love the night life
I got to boogie on the disco 'round, oh yea

Please don't talk about love tonight
Your sweet talking won't make it right
Love and lies just bring me down
When you've got women all over town
You can love them all and when you're through
Maybe that'll make, huh, a man out of you
I got to go where the people dance
I want some action
I want to live

Action
I got so much to give
I want to give it
I want to get some too

There was a drive-in on Route 3 in Jersey that had great burgers.  But the best thing was they had Birch Beer on tap.

They make a great terriyaki (Sp?) burger at Mother Nature's.  It's got mushrooms and I can't remember...swiss cheese?  Anyway, it's beef, not chicken, and it's wonderful

I like beef burgers and I like turkey burgers, but forget about chicken burgers.  The only thing worse than chicken burgers is chicken hot dogs.

Chas  thank you for your walk down memory lane!  I quite enjoyed it

Thank you for yours!  Love these.  What/where was Stat's?  Sounds familiar but I can't place it.

I would have gone on longer with mine but decided to limit it to the Triangle.  God forbid I start talking about the Fine Arts, Music Hall, Fox Wilshire, Writers Guild, the Dolores Drive-In...

Oh now I've done it.  I said "the Dolores Drive-In".  We are doomed.

BK:  I'm deliberately flying out ahead of the others.  I get into Burbank at 5:30 pm, Thursday the 18th.  Thursday evening, all day Friday, most of the day Saturday, and Sunday morning/early afternoon are free.  Most of the others are arriving on Sunday.  I'll be renting a car and turning it back in on Sunday when the designated drivers pick up the group's SUVs for the week.

"Most of the day Saturday" means I should be on hand sometime that afternoon or evening to meet my hotel roommate.  A few of those not bringing spouses are sharing rooms.

The HTF events run Monday through Friday.  Monday evening is free.  Wednesday we're in Anaheim visiting a mouse.  Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings are reserved for "hotel ballroom events", but have yet to be announced, so one of those might possibly end up becoming free.  I fly out first thing Saturday the 27th.

BTW, I'm pleased and excited to say that we've been told that at some point, not sure when, we'll be meeting with Nick Redman and Julie Kirgo.

Well, we'll definitely find a few times - and we can meet up with Nick and Julie outside of the HTF stuff.

Ahh...I didn't track that.  I've never heard of a publisher changing the style or format in the middle of a series.
