Thank you.  I can't wait until she sends it to us.  I suppose she needs to make a print of the original.  I expect she keeps the originals.

If Sherlock were still here Keith would have taken us for a hike today, instead we went to the Redbox, market and home.  I am tempted to start going on my own to enjoy the fall colors.

My friend with two Berners, and an amateur photograph, hikes every Tuesday. Last Tuesday she went at sunrise to capture the early light.  If she goes at a reasonable time this week I may join her.  I just have to drive 20-30 minutes to get to her first, but then she will drive the rest of the way.

DR Jane do you still read any paperbacks or hardcover books?  I won this thing called a bagabook and I am totally in love with it. I'll see if i can find a picture of one. It's basically a cover that you put your book in. And it has a handle so you can carry the book. But you don't have to lift the book while reading it. You can just rest it on your bed, or your lap or whatever. So it doesn't hurt your arm/shoulder.

I have returned from the board meeting and am now awaiting The Amazing Race that is supposed to start at 8:30, but since 60 Minutes hasn't started yet....my guess is that it will be delayed somewhat.

We are lucky that The Amazing Race airs on a Canadian station. So it always starts on time. Hopefully it will start at 8:30pm for you guys.

How very cool.  The Kingston Trio just sang the National Anthem at the Cardinals vs Giants National Leauge Playoff Game.  I guess I forgot (if I ever knew) that The Kingston Trio was from San Francisco.

Was it a board meeting today, or was it a bored meeting?

That's really cool!  I saw one for a Kindle as well.  Can you use this for your Kindle?

I have two paperbacks I'm saving for my flights to Cozumel in case my Nook runs out of battery.  Otherwise I'm basically using the Nook.

Half the time I read on my side and/or under the covers.  I wonder if this would work then.   I fold my Nook back so it is half the size and it is pretty comfortable.  The size is why I don't get an iPad which is superior.

I already have a  case for my kindle. But i couldn't use this specific thing for my kindle. IT has to have a front and back cover to stick in the front and back.  I didn't think i would love it this much. But I"ve been sticking every book i have in it (if i own the book i take off the cover first).  It fits most books except very large hardcovers.

Also for DR Jane, the bagabook basically holds your book in place for you. So you could probably lean it against something and read in bed. Sometimes i rest it on a kleenex box. And i don't need to use my hands at all.

Any donut with whipped cream is worth a detour or three.  I have to be very careful not to go over there this week.  Today, so far, I've had seven hundred calories.

Do you have a hot date coming up in the next few weeks, BK?  Or are you, perhaps, making an appearance in an OUTSIDE THE BOX episode?

I have no hot date, nor even a cold date - I am very uncomfortable in my clothing and I do not with to go buy a new wardrobe.

Okay, I was just asking.  It seems like when you run on a regular basis, you don't need to watch your calories that closely.  Is it a matter of finding enough time to run?

It's being of an age when losing weight is truly almost impossible and gaining weight is almost impossibly easy.  It's annoying but one must deal with it as one must.  I fluctuate, oh, yes, I fluctuate, but this year has been so busy that jogging has not happened on too many occasions, and I'm also a little bored of it.  But if I get my metabolic rate back up and then eat under 1200 calories every day for two weeks, I will lose ten pounds pretty quickly.

I can understand that.  It is tough for me because I had to start eating regularly again, to regain my health.  But I am not able to go walking or do most other types of excercise, so eating right is going to start having a negative effect.
