It's suddenly gotten VERY windy.  I don not like the wind and want it to STOP now.

Outside of Manhattan Marshall's and TJ Maxx may be OK but the stores here in the city are for s*** I don't need to go to them again. I will wait until we are on Long Island for Thanksgiving and go to Target for socks. I'm not going up to 116th Street and FDR to the only Target in Manhattan. It's not worth the subway way and 10 minute walk.

Now Ben has used the "S" word!

well golly, he lives in New York  nowadays  he's been indoctrinated!

You are on a roll tonight, TCB. With fries and slaw on the side?

Could I get a little horseradish sauce on the roll?

How about I eat the cheese, and you can have the apple pie.

For some reason, the idea of those two together never appealed to me. Then I had it, and now I never want apple pie without it.

BJ's has their own line of cheeses and one of them is this mild cheddar  bar with blueberries in -  it is their "artisian " line of cheeses - I bought it  on a lark and it was really good!!

I don't know a great deal about cheese.  Mild cheddar and Pepper Jack are about the only cheeses that I buy for myself.  However, I will put a word in for some great cheese made by Washington State University -- Cougar Gold.

Hi all!  I'm sorry I missed the celebration.  I was on the phone with Thelma for a bit because we haven't been in contact for awhile.

The house is still having it's problems.  They were going to come and pour the concrete for the laundry room then that got canceled because of the septic.  They somehow thought I was connected to city sewage but I have a septic hole.

Anyway things have been up and down with work and all.  Well things are about to change.  Hopefully for the better but I can't post about it until after Tuesday when I'm sure.   So stay tuned for the (hopefully) happy news!

I do have some news I can share.  I got a call from Sergio (the contractor) and he said Lowes will be coming out to the house on Monday and will measure the kitchen!  I don't know what will come of that--my choices as to what I want-- but I'm hopeful!

I don't know if you all knew that I was told that Lowes was out of the picture for awhile there.  I mentioned it when I went to my local store and was told I should contact customer care.  I did and told them the entire story.  Next thing I knew corporate was involved and they really do want to help.  I don't think telling the AC part hurt.

This could be the BEST holiday season I've had in a very, very, very (that's 3 very's) long time.   ;)

Very good news, Danise!  Good luck!!
