I wore it once.

Definitely leisure suits...I only had one, thank god. I went through all the other 70's trends...flare trousers, platform shoes, etc. I'm actually currently lobbying for a return to men's neck scarves...I think they'd be a stylish, more comfortable alternative to ties.

Monday morning greetings! I slept until about 9 this morning, dreaming right before I woke up about living in an apartment at 70th and West End Avenue in NYC. It was a beautiful terra cotta style building and we lived on the 12th floor. I was busy meeting the neighbors and discovering that there was a Starbucks in the lobby.

TOD - women's "dress for success," as proscribed by John Molloy - skirted dark suits with blouses with bow ties. This was the late '70s/early '80s, when I was a very young administrator trying to keep up with the execs on campus. In 1985, I traded that look for maternity attire, followed by the stay-at-home Mom look. When I finally went back to work in the '90s, my professional look was much more relaxed.

Back from food, no packages (annoying!) and trying to connect to Face Time to see a run-through of Sandy's show. These people are so inept about easy stuff like this, and apparently the Signature Theater, a MAJOR Washington theater, has NO Wi-fi in their complex.

Having received glowing recommendations from a couple of very astute theatre-going friends, we've just ordered tickets for the Human Race Theatre Company production of Oliver!. Sounds like it's being done in the style of ONCE. I can't wait!

I love The Human Race.....they used to partner a lot with the Phoenix here is Indy....but probably no one left there from when I knew them....Marsha Hanna and Michael Lippert.....

Last night, I watched "The Birds" and then "Rear Window" on blu ray disc.

I enjoyed them both very much. For "Rear Window", it actually felt like the first time I'd seen the film (although I've seen the film many times on VHS and DVD).

There is an extraordinary amount of detail on view I'd never before noticed. Ditto for "The Birds".

It was heaven!
