I want to know what the plans are for THE NUTTY PROFESSOR.

I don't know any details, but I think there are still plan to go forward with it

I hope so.  I think that this was a great idea for a new musical.

Thank you, Cilla.  I was just hoping that you would call Rupert and ask him.

LOL, He doesn't talk to me about his works in progress, well not that often.  We usually communicate via email

I am getting excited --- in four more days I will be seeing the Mystery of Edwin Drood!!

Can't wait to hear how you like it.  If you se Rupert, be sure and tell him hello from me. Don't know if he'll be there that night, but he's there a lot

Ii will have to keep any eye out ---I am terrible at spotting people though --- I blew off Jason Robards one day!

Yes, I believe Mr. Robards mentioned that in his autobiography.

LOL

I really have to laugh.  I have tons of clients who fled Guatemala and are trying to get asylum here. McAfee flees TO Guatemala and seeks asylum there...and he's denied.

I watched the 1957 to 1980 episode of Broadway: The Golden Age on Blu and Ray.  It's as I remembered it - bland, not very well done, and not compelling.

Tonight's performance of "The Wind in the Willows" went quite well.  The stage manager needed the night off (his wife is performing in the chorus in Elf in Seattle), so the director called the show.  She only missed one cue (it was a couple of beats late), but otherwise everything went very smoothly.  The audience thoroughly enjoyed the show.  A couple of friends of mine were there tonight and one, Christine, took a picture and posted it on Facebook.  Check me out. ;)

I'm up - and have been for quite a while.  Been shooting off emails, dealing with stage managers, planning Liturgy, etc.  Funny how time flies by when you're sitting at your computer.

On that note, (a ALW D-flat) has anyone here made an mp3 of the movie version of "Scrooge" with Alfred Finney that they might want to share?  If not, well, then that's ok.  One of these days, I'll sit down with the DVD and rip a soundtrack recording, but for now, I'm being lazy and just really want to hear it.

I think I have the album,  but I have no idea how to shift it over to an mp3.
There was a CD of the London stage version of the movie, but I don't have it. (I know, that doesn't help much, does it?)

The British stage version starring Anthony Newley has about four additional songs, all of them sung by Scrooge.  When I was cast as Scrooge, I had no idea how many additional songs I had to learn that weren't in the film.

There's also a newer stage version with Tommy Steele that's a bit different than the Anthony Newley version.
